Yikes! I had a Lhasa Apso when I was a kid, and he lived for 16 years without ever having anything like that happen. He was groomed, but we usually trimmed his hair so he never had a topknot or anything like that.

I must admit... I'm not quite sure what to say.... I don't know what my reaction would be if one of the eight puppy eyeballs suddenly poped out of someones head!

I think utterly amazed and in total shock is all I can come up with right now.

Someone would have to puck my chin up off the floor! Then pick me up off the floor!

i've seen it before. I remember i was working at my first vet hospital and this lady walked in carrying her shih-tzu with its eye totally hanging out of the socket!

i was totally unprepared for this and like most peopl here have never even heard of this happening. Well the shih-tzu was still as happy as can be, sitting there licking his own EYE. totally weird. the doc popped it back in and everything was fine.

i've seen it again while working at other hospitals and it didn't freak me out, but that first time totally blew my mind.

I have heard before that Pekingese's eyes can fall out too...well not really fall out but pop out and I think you have to pop them back in. It sounds soo awful I can't imagine

Its very sad. I had a Pekingese and he was running around the kitchen table him and my other pup an dhe was running so fast he ran into the table leg and his eye poped out, we took him to the vets and they wouldnt take him in, by the time we got to another vets it was to late it had been out to long an dit died, so they had to remove the eye. Very very sad.

Good stories? cough Whats that mean? You asked a question. So some of us was trying to explain , Yes they can fall out if they hit their head hard enough.
