I am so sorry Gail that you are faced with this. I know that Zoey is in the best family she could be in. You will do everything possible for Zoey and make the decisions that are the best for her. I can somewhat empathize with you as I have a baby who also is facing a catastrophic illness. So far she has surpassed all expectations she was given. I was told she only had weeks to live and it has been more than 2 years of quality living for her. No one actually knows just what your love and dedication can do to create unbelievable results, exceeding all expectations. My prayers are with you both as you face this uncertain ground.

I'm so sorry to hear that news was not as hopefully as we all wished. I'll continue to keep you both in my thoughts, sending healing energy your way...I know that you will do all that you can, and Zoey for her part will fight with all she can. You are so lucky to have each other (and your family) for support during this battle...

Thank you so much for all the prayers. At least we only have 2.5 days to wait to see oncologist!

Zoey slept well last night. Swelling appears unchanged, but she had a good breakie; thank god she is eating now. Also she is taking her pills like a trooper!

Just back from Kensington Market. They have great health food stores; and great prices on the meat I buy for the pups. Now to try to find a place with reasonable lamb prices as I'd like to switch to a more heavily based lamb meal. Got the goat's milk, but alfafa is just not in season here, so I bought some kale instead.

I think I might have a bit of an afternoon nap. Then more dog cooking lol. We ususally try to make up 2wks worth, then freeze in daily package consumption.

I'm just stopping by to see how Zoey and mommy are doing. My husband and I are both upholding you and Zoey in prayers. So good to hear the Reiki feels good to her and helps her.

Mommy has sore feet and is tired. Zoey hasn't eaten today except for some lamb roast I defrosted about 12 pieces so far. She wouldn't eat her homemade food which she loved yesterday!. Daddy is clippering her right now as she lays on the table. We want to bring her to a very short clip to keep her cooler and also so the doctors can examine her easier.
I used the cold pack at lunch hour, and we went for a very short walk to the stopsign and back. She was happy to be out on her lead. I think though I should get a harness for her, so that if she pulls she would not pull against that swelling in her neck.

I am still researching diet, prognosis, treatment options et al. My Question list is getting quite long!

Well tomorrow is the day!. I am getting more anxious and nervous about what the oncologist will say.

Zoey again would not eat this am, and lunch hour only took a bout 6 pieces of lamb before turning up her nose and walking away.

I swear she also looks thicker through her torso :-( I'm scared that it is because of the cancer andnot because Dave shaved her legs down.

WEll not much else to report. Just making it through the hours till Wed.
