Zoey has taken a turn for the worse It is too too soon. Her palpable swelling is very small, but although she ate today, she was somehow off a bit. We went out to eat, and she was downstairs. She could not make it up the stairs to greet us. She won't drink right now, yet her gums are pink and moist. My husband tried to carry her up, and he couldn't, finally she did stumble up. I don't know what is hurting her so!

We will call tomorrow to arrange for at home euthanasia. I just can't bear to hear and see her in this pain.

Thank you my friends. I know I won't get much sleep tonight. I've talked with lisa. Zoey is resting on my feet, and I will "sleep" in the den with her.

I hope that she continues to rest comfortably. The poor dear.

It is 2am in Houston, and we are having severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, and over 5 inches of rain over the last 5 hours....and I am sitting in the dark, thinking about you and Zoey....hope you are resting peacefully with your darling girl....just wanted you to know you are not just a fleeting thought for us.....we have lived this journey over the last month or so, with you and your painful trials, constantly on our minds, in our thoughts and prayers....

My heart is so heavy, Gail, but I am committed to being there for you to share the myriad of emotions you are feeling. With a wide open heart you have shared with us your beautiful views about living with and committing to a furbaby, and we have gained so much from you as a contributing member of our community.
