Stopping by to see how Zoey is doing today. She and her mom are still in our prayers. |
Rosemarie, Kristin,Nancy,SweetGirls, Lisa and Gidget. Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. Today's update is a mixed kind of thing. zoey at lunch hour actually had good energy, and appetite. She ate about 1lb of food. Tonight when I get home; she wouldn't eat dinner for Dave, and only would she eat 2 measley small pieces of cheese for me. Her throat nodes are pretty swollen....... I'm pretty sure most of last wk she was eating well; and now not so much. I hope for a better tomorrow for her. |
I'm also hoping for a better tomorrow for all of you. Still sending lots of hugs and prayers for all of you, Bonny |
Gail, you and Zoey are in my thoughts and prayers daily. When is her next treatment? |

At least today she ate Breakie and Dinner - and then a pre bedtime snack as well:D We went to the park for a 15 minute walk - and she loved being out near the pond. I didn't let her off lead - cause it was too cold out and I didn't want her to get her paws wet. How-ever the swellings are very hard and apparent on her neck particularly - but she has seemed to have gotten her appetite back:) |
Praying for Zoey and her family... come on Monday! |
Glad to hear Zoey ate well! :) We will be praying for this Monday. |

Well it is Friday. And Monday we go in for the what I've called in my mind the blockbuster chemo treatment. Accompanied by another eye exam and an heart echocardiogram. And for this treatment we are to fast her for 12hours. Zoey is still eating well, and her tail is up, she is happily barking against all comers. But oh dear the nodes on her neck feel like multiple golfballs, although a bit lower than what I felt before. Groin nodes are still swollen, but chest/shoulder area are down. I truly don't know how I feel, but hopeful is not close. Hopeful was a continuing reduction in swelling, which I thought would give us a shooting chance for remission. I read the thread about the little one with Lymphosarcoma, the Yorkie in England I believe. And I see where they have decided on prophylatic treatment. I read what their vet had said. and another notch in my heart has been made. I'm so tired. I guess I just don't feel like Monday's chemo will work. I dread finding out if I am right. Dave and I keep busy here, gawd knows there is always lots to be done. I go to bed tired and sleep maybe 4hrs and then wake for the rest of the night. |
I'm so sorry you are all going through this. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily... throughout most of each day actually. |
:ghug:I think we all need to come up to Canada and give you a couple of groups hugs. You sound physically and emotionally exhausted. You and Zoey are in our continued prayers. |
