Sounds like her first treatment is working already! I would be pretty highly encouraged myself - thought they took a few weeks before there was significant change. This sounds as if the terrible inflammation and reaction of lymphs is way down and she's overall just doing quite a bit better. I think you have every reason to be heartened by her reactions. |
I hope tomorrow goes well for you and Zoey. You have so much on your plate right now with your committment to take your friend to the hospital for a surgical procedure and also taking Zoey for her chemotherapy. You are so devoted to the ones you love, and it's one of the many character traits I find so admirable in you. You are such an awesome mom, friend, and caregiver, but I worry about you. Please take care of yourself, too. So many people and furbabies are relying on you, but it's important for you to stay healthy and strong. You and Zoey remain in my heart and prayers. |

The cleaners come today, so I'll only have to tidy up a bit, and of course the inevitable dog hair pickup:p I'm going to another friend tomorrow late day, and together we will wash the Magicman and blow dry and give him a good grooming. Dave's on board for doggie meal prep on the Sat. I'm doing the ppl meal prep;) |
Oncologist and Second Chemo treatment Bit of a busy day here. But our oncologist is quite pleased with Zoey's progress and response to the chemo...yeah! She still has discernible swellings in all lymph, but the opthamologist for her eyes is now confident there is no evidence of lympoma swelling in her head...double yeah:D Her good response is positive for a better prognosis (at least so far). Now the only concern is that she lost 5kilograms that is over 10 lbs since last wk:eek: And I thought she was feeling a bit heavier, and had maybe put back on a lb or even 2 lbs. So I'm to continue to feed her 6cups a day, and even more if she will take it in. The doc suggested a cup or so at lunchhour as well as her normal am and pm feedings. Dave and I will need to buy a whole lot more chicken n lamb tomorrow and Saturday:D I am trying not to deep six over the weight loss. But if she doesn't pick up weight over the next week and she is eating well.....then something else is going on. But let's end on a positive. We have Easter coming up, and some friends coming over; wkend weather is forecasted to be sunny too. :D |
Great news! Hope you enjoy your Easter weekend with friends, and praying that Zoey can gain some weight... |
