My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Come meet my new baby! His name is Mason, and he is 13 weeks old. He was "hatched" on Dec 27th and I have been going to the breeders house weekly to bond with him until he came home last Monday! He is a Congo African Grey Parrot. He is amazing! So sweet, very personable, and so gorgeous! He is going to make me eat better since he needs so many fresh fruits and veggies! LOL I love birds and have always wanted a parrot....I am looking to enjoying many years with him! (like 50 to 60 LoL) I just wanted to share Here is a video I took on one of my visits to the breeders house while I was still visiting weekly. The pictures are from my house now that he is home. |

| Congratulations Breny, We had an African Grey named Nigel. "She" was the smartest animal I ever owned. When my son moved out he took her with him. I still get to visit. If you go on squidoo.com there are a collection of "birdie bread" recipes to make for your grey. It helps on days that you don't have time to make a special salad for your new bird. You can make a batch and freeze it as well. Enjoy...I am jealous. Rose

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Awww...Mason is a very pretty bird! Congratulations on your new family member.....he will be lots of fun! I love African Greys too but knew they lived a long time and at my age, didn't want to risk a bird outliving me...so, that's why I went with a Quaker (they live about 20 years). Next to African Greys they are supposed to be the best talkers.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I forgot to mention that right now they are hanging out under Mason's cage because I just put him in there and made him a veggie omelet and they are waiting for droppings of egg! LoL |
