Oh good for you Kathy! That's very very good. You are really moving along. :D:D I haven't lost any more - still not gaining but not losing either. I see my doctor tomorrow and I'm gonna ask if this will break pretty soon so I can start losing more.:) I have a really bad sinus infection again. It's been less than a month since I had the last one. Hope the doctor can come up with a plan.:rolleyes: |

My dieting is getting frustrating, I want to keep my willpower and continue...but I hate not seeing progress. I still have well over 20 pounds to go. Oh well... |

I haven't gained back...yet., but seem to be at a standstill. Anyone have any suggestions for boosting the weight loss? |
Kathy, sometimes switching up your diet helps you get going again. Change out the type of veggies and fruit, add a little more exercise - like walking a little more or adding weights. I'm still stuck too but it's the prednisone. I did lose one more pound but that took three weeks. Ugh! It's hard isn't it? But just think how happy wel'll be when we get there! :D |
Yes I know, it will be worth it in the long run...I just want to see more results to keep me on the right track. My boss has lost a total of 40 pounds in about the same time that I lost 10. She is on a very restricted, high protein diet though...I just can't do that...plus I question it's safety and what happens when she begins eating more normal again. I want this to be forever... |

I watched my mo old grandson Friday night for 6 hours and it wore me out I loved having him so long. Usually I have him for two to three hours at a time so this was so much fun. I saw so many more things in him than I've seen before and got to teach him some new words and actions. What a blast. :D The top row on my keyboard doesn't always work so I have to get creative. My daughter's friend came over the other day with her year old and he grabbed my laptop and pulled it off the table onto the floor. Nice big blob in the lower right side of the screen where a lot of pixels are broken and the keyboard doesn't work properly. It's 5 years old so guess I should replace it. I thought about getting a new screen for it but I'd like to have a smaller lighter one now that I'm used to using a laptop instead of a PC. Although I still have a mouse cause I have never been able to get the hang of using the pad instead of a mouse.:confused: Hope everyone is having a good weekend :) |
Sounds like you at a great time with your grandson Susie. Building memories...how sweet. I keep thinking I need a new and improved laptop...still thinking about it. I'll probably keep this one for a while longer. How's Tala doing now? Better I hope. What does Tink think of the baby? |

Hi little big thread! It's been a while. Tink and Tala were sick last week. :eek: I saw them eating something out in the yard and I think it was toadstools. What fun that was. I called our vet and she said not to worry but keep an eye on them. They're fine but it took two days for them to get back to normal. :( Expecting a quiet Thanksgiving this year. My daughter and her husband are on a weight loss food plan that is quite restrictive so we need to modify all the dishes to meet those. We've spent some time coming up with some new recipes that will satisfy our hunger for the traditional foods. We hope!:D |
Toadstools huh? Why do they have to do crazy stuff like that...when they I'm sure are well fed and most likely get a few treats as well. Happy to hear they are both feeling better though. Thanksgiving at my house is always quiet, just hubby and I...but that's okay...we still make a turkey with all the trimmings. Best wishes to you and yours Susie! |
I don't know Kathy! Don't they realize they scare their mommies to pieces?!:eek: I come from a medium sized family and there are usually 22 of us plus guests for Thanksgiving so our tables usually seat about 30 people. But since I moved to Texas it's just my daughter, her husband, me and 20 guests! Lots of fun though. The farther away they get from their college years, the fewer the friends that come. They marry and have their own families or move back home or to a different city. The numbers are slowly dwindling. :( This year I think there are only 4 people who are coming. So I have less to cook and more time to spend playing with my grandson! Yea!!!:hearts6: Thanks for the wishes Kathy. I hope you have a restful and loving Thanksgiving too. Wow Susie that is a huge dinner...30 people??? I come from a pretty large family, but many are gone now or don't live here any more. I think 15 was the most we ever had...and that includes babies and children. I kinda like our little Thanksgiving, just my husband and I. Of course we miss those that are no longer with us, they are always included in our prayers... |

We are on a healthy menu these days so I won't make all the usual sweets but we have to have cut out cookies and some date pin wheels. I always make a date and Raisin Applesause cake (it's heavy like a fruit cake) cause it was my daddy's favorite and I love it too. Daddy's been gone 12 years this week. One day I'll see him again. :) Do you stay home or go to family for Christmas? |
