I have been cleaning and cooking and trying to support Maureen from Nebraska Her son is in ICU in CA. I am also trying to find a good Gift basket that will get there fast. That is really hard to do. Any Ideas?

all of my friends are telling me i am crazy getting another pup when I am preggers...but what they dont understand is that Tessa will be 9 months old when the baby comes. I am hoping to have her most of the way potty trained by then. If I didnt' get a pup now, it would be a few years before I did. It seems like perfect timing to me...I am able to stay home from work and train her and spend lots of time with her and maggie before the baby comes. They will never understand...but I don't care LOL

Excerpts from a cat's diary
DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling
objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry
cereal. The only thing that sustains me is the hope of escape, and the
mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture.
Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their
feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top
of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile
oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their chair... must
try this on their bed.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in
attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike
fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a
good cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good
reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included
a burning foamy chemical called shampoo. What sick minds could invent
such a liquid? My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck
between my teeth.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was
placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise
and smell the foul odour of the glass tubes they call beer. More
importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of
allergies. Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe
snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to
return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got
to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he
reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room
his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time...

Good morning. I can only stay for a sec. cuz Maggie has to have her ritual morning love. she is in my face right now with these sad eyes wondering why in the world I have not given her kisses yet. Ok, now I m typing blindly cuz she is literally sitting in my face. Let's see if I can open photobooth and get a pic. It's kinda dark in here so I don't know if it will work. I'll try :D It's a good thing I can type when I'm not looking LOL

again....she hates to be ignored....

Well, I woke up way too early this morning. The dogs are used to eating within the hour of waking up so they are a bit confused. :D They still have to wait a bit.

I will probably give Brea a bath. Last time I did, I used Cowboy Magic to get some matts out. Well, I used too much of the stuff and it does NOT come out.:( I shampooed her four times and it still didn't come out. I used a clarifying shampoo diluted and full strength - nothing. I decided to give her poor skin a rest, so she has not been the prettiest dog on the block since then. I really hope the rest of that junk will come out today.

Judy, love the dog and cat games. The dog - ain't it true. The cat - I love stories, thanks for providing that one.:D

Mandee, dog on face is a good thing. She could be tearing through your laundry or pooing on the living room carpet!;) And as long as you can bend over to clean up after a pup, why not have another while you're preggers! As you said, it will keep your older one company when the skin baby comes along.:)

Teri, you don't have to shampoo the whole dog to get Cowboy Magic out. It was intended to stay in, but sprinkle the offending area (not the whole dog) with a little cornstarch, blot it out with paper toweling, and then spot clean the area or at that point you can shampoo the whole dog. Once! :rolleyes: However, if in overexuberance, you CMd the entire dog, you are out-of-luck. It just has to wear off. :p

Lori, you'll get here eventually. I replied to Pixie's B-Day post early this am and hope you were able to get Cayden's gift taken care of.:)

Tink is bathed, dressed, and working on the rest of her lamby's insides.:( Gotta vaccum, get another load of laundry done, run the dishwasher, get to Best buy to get a new mouse for my PC, go to rehearsal early this afternoon, and another later in the afternoon, and then I'm home for the evening.

Hi thread it's now 7:44 here and we have bathed 4 dogs 2 of which were puppies. Trimmed nails, feet and butts which is never ending, but I just love my furkids.

I have been up since 3 am and finally come to visit and not many ppl are here yet,lol!! where is everyone????

I spent the day at work, again, lol. I went in yesterday and decided to reoganize... (it was closed) then bit off more than I could chew. 8 hours later I realized I had to go home, and return today!

Well, at least now my room is nice and organzed. :D Now, where's that Bernie...I believe he needs a bath.
