That can be a symptom of different things, including depression...
Do you ever try sleeping pills? How about some Sleepy Time tea or something like that?

Have you tried tylenol PM or Advil PM? They help me when I can't gt enough sleep. They just make me a little more comfortable so I'm not up and down all night.

The doctor gave me sleeping pills last year, but I never got a refill. I do sleepy time tea, but like I mentioned before I don't have a problem falling asleep, my problem is staying asleep. I've tried reading, warm soy milk, opening my eyes until they close and I fall sleep, but then I wake up again.
Hubby and the dogs move to a different bedroom in the middle of the night because they can't sleep with me

That is really a bummer. It's so frustrating being up at night like that. There is one type of sleep med that is supposed to help you get to sleep AND stay asleep... but you said you don't like taking meds.

How do you function during the day if you never get enough sleep?
