Awww, I missed you guys.

Lori, do you hate where you work or are you just tired of hairdressing? Are you thinking of being a vet tech??? I think you'd be great at whatever you do. And you are so compassionate...you could be a god-send to people who are struggling with the sickness of a beloved pet. As you know, I made a pretty major career change a couple of years back that involved going back to school...I've never been happier. I love what I do now.

Kathy, you are NEVER too old...

Vicky, I've been trying to remember to log on to Yahoo when I'm online, hope to run into you there.

I have to agree with Lori (and would never have thought of the great way to say it) Ducky has become a beautiful swan.

Well do Love doing hair but when I started this job the GM said that I would only have to work a half day on Saturday or 6 hrs on Sunday.
Now they are changing there tune and telling me i have to work Every Saturday all day and every other Sunday. I didn't sign on for that and I want to find a job I can still have time to spend with family.
I wanted to go back to school for vet tech but I just can't spare the time and money it would take to do that right now.

Kathy I know what you mean with the closeness at work. Maybe you just have to try to get to know the ones around you?
I hope you can get close to some one I know how it feels to feel all alone like that.

I will continue to try to get to know those closest to me in the office...but they seem so distant...I mean, they don't even say hello or good morning...or good-bye, have a nice evening...nothing. The only thing they talk about is other people...gossip...and that's not for me, I just sit there and listen, but I rarely comment...I just wonder what they say about me when I'm not there...

Let's see what I can add to this to make these the good ole days

I think most of you know that we have a new grandson. His name is Lane Yates. Lane was hospitalized just two days after he and Kristin (our daughter) got to come home. He was very jaundice, but he zoomed through and came home a day and a half later! He's doing wonderfully now! Lexy our 4 yr old granddaughter is such a proud big sister. Our other grandson will be 7 this coming week. His name is Kaden. When we go to see them for Kaden's birthday, I'll take lots of pictures to share with everyone. I love those little rascals!

Our bathroom remodel is nearly finished. We're waiting on new windows to be installed in the whole house. When we placed our order they said it could be up to 6 weeks before installation. We're also refinishing our hardwood floors in the livingroom, diningroom and bedroom. The next project is installing new lamenent wood floors in the kitchen. I can't wait for that to be done. Then new counter tops! I know what I want...if hubby doesn't like what I pick I think that's just gonna be tough, because I've had my heart set on this for a long time.
So hopefully by at least sometime in August it will all be done. I've taken pics of the bathroom remodel and need to post a link to the pictures.

I hope there aren't any other bathroom remodels in my near future..that is one that I don't like doing. It's such a mess.

Tues. I go for a mammogram...ugh. I was supposed to Friday, but decided to spend the day w/ my sweet yorkie friend, Lisa AKA winstonw here on YT. We had a marathon lunch at Olive Garden. I think we were there nearly 4 hrs and got to know our waiter pretty well. hahaha

Remodels are both fun and a whole lot of hard work. How do you and your furkids like the wood floors? We are doing some serious debating on this subject. I'm sure Winston will skitter all over the place, as he's use to carpet every where.
Your family sounds heavenly...I have no skinkids, so unfortunately I have no grand babies to spoil.
Hope all goes well with the mammogram...I'll say a little prayer for you!!!

I can relate to not wanting to work weekends and wanting another job. With all of your experience, hopefully you can find something better soon.

Ack! Don't waste a second worrying about what they are saying about you. When people get into that kind of a culture at work, you are right, they are talking about everybody. It's hard, but try not to let it get to you.

What they should be saying "Kathy is so nice" "Kathy always knows just what to say." "Kathy has a great sense of humor." ....If they hung out here and got to know you the way we have, those are just some of the things they SHOULD be saying.

Well, what a nice way to get to know you. Congrats on your new Grandson. I'm glad that he's doing so well.

You've really taken on a ton of remodeling! What fun! What work! You should post before and after pics!
