Lovely weather forecast...I don't think we have a great deal of snow expected...just the bitter cold.
I am prepared now, Santa brought me a new parka type coat with a nice warm hood...and some boots, usually I just wear a pea coat and dress shoes to work. But that was before we moved the hospital out in the country with no protection from the snow and wind. What were they thinking??? I don't think they were...that's the problem!!!

I've been looking for some nice low cut winter boots that will keep my toes warm. Haven't found anything yet.

Ya know, I agree with you. They build in the summer and then comes winter and there is nothing to break the wind cause they forgot it takes 20 years for the trees to grow! Silly people.

No, I'm in Kewanee...about 50 miles from Peoria. It's a smaller local hospital, unlike those in Peoria. We transfer most critical patients to Peoria, usually OSF St. Francis.

I used to live in Peoria in another century and then in Chillicothe too! Even Mt. Vernon, S. Pekin, Congerville, and Bloomington. I started south and kept going north!

O.k...I'm familiar with the Kewanee area too...been there many times. I wondered about the hospital because my sister works at one in Peoria.

Peoria Day Surgery. I guess you wouldn't really call it a hospital though...they do surgeries but it's not really part of a hospital...it's a stand alone building.

I've only been there once so I can't remember for sure where it is either. Isn't that terrible?! We live quite a ways apart though so it's not like I can run over to meet her for lunch everyday...but...if I could I would!

Hey everyone. Sounds like there is a lot of sickness going around. I'm very thankful I have been spared any of it.

I'm just hibernating and enjoying my little girls.

I love my little Yorkies so much - stinkers that they can be at times.

Went to see Marley and Me yesterday and went out to brunch today. It felt good to get out and have some fun.

Tinka starts training classes Tuesday evening - should be interesting.

Did you cry over the movie? I'm a bit afraid to go see it in the theater...I just know I'll bawl like a baby!!!
Good luck with the training classes. Winston was a puppy obedience school drop-out!!! Not because he couldn't learn, he was a quick learner...I just didn't care for the teacher...she didn't seem to care about the little ones, she focused ALL her attention on the collies, shepherds and labs. Oh well, I got my money back and an apology...and decided not to go back. Hope yours has a better outcome.
