ANYHOW, Happy Wednesday~ 30 degrees here, frost everywhere,, how can it do that after being 60-high 70's for the last few weeks.. :( I watched all my neighbors bringing back flowers and plants and planting,, as I watched thinking.." HMMMM, too early for that." I've been there,, now I wait till Memorial Day. ;)

Good morning! Its rained here the last few days but we really needed it! No frost for us though! I havent planted my flowers yet bc of this weather! You never know it will probably snow next week :rolleyes:

I've always heard mother's day weekend is when you should plant. (Notice I said YOU, not me....I don't do yard stuff). My husband already killed 9 tulip plants. He brought them home and then transplanted them into the ground. of course they are all dead, you don't transplant tulips! I may not DO yard work, but I KNOW what is supposed to be done! It did look nice for about a day and a half!

Hmm. I have planted tulip bulbs,, they should come back next year. I got a nice hyacinth (sp) when in the hospital, it said wait till plant dies and drys up and plant bulbs and dead stems, we'll see if it comes back. I've done it with Tulips and they have all come back. I have tons of tulips at home, and love em but they dont last long enough.

I do yard work :rolleyes: Well kind of.
I plant silk flowers out in front and around the pool.
There great, they look real, and when they get dirty
I just pull them and put new ones in :) :) :)

It is kinda overcast here today also. Haven't seen a weather forecast, so don't know if we are supposed to get some rain or not, but it is cooler!

I've always heard here in the south to not plant before Good Friday. We planted some things last year and they actually came back this year. I was so excited!! :yay_jump: Of course someone told me one things we planted was an annual and wouldn't come back, so I planted wildflower seeds where it was....and guess what, the other plants are coming back...so it will probably look awful!!

Careful, I planted some wildflower seeds in one of my beds, where I didn't know what to plant,, and they TOOK OVER,and every year they spread, wider and wider, I always think,, Boy I wish I wouldn't have done that... they are pretty though..

Well let me tell you about my flowers! I love to have flowers in my yard and our house is right on the corner of the street, so I like to keep my yard looking pretty!

So a couple of weeks ago my hubby was out mowing and I was inside the house cleaning aka playing on yorkietalk ;) Anyways Adam comes in the house and says come here I need to show you something! And I go outside and he ripped out both of my flowerbeds :mad: The one in the front yard and the one on the side of the house! I was so poed at him! I asked him wth he was thinking and he said that it was too much work to keep flowers up!!!!

I am the one that messes with them so why did he care how hard they were to keep up :rolleyes: probably trying to make my life easier I guess who knows! So needless to say in a few weeks when I plant my flowers its going to take forever bc I have to dig holes to put my blocks back around the flower bed :mad:

I would have killed him. I love to garden and my family knows better than to mess with them.

OMG! :mad: I would have died! I have a corner lot too, and I spend so much time and MONEY on all the crap in my yard, If I ever move, I WILL be digging up everything! If I didn't I'd be driving by going " ARE YA gonna trim that?" that needs weeded. Time to mow" LOL When I moved in they had a few plants and I spent SO much $$ on plants and bulbs, it was unreal, but damn it looks good. Last year, my Mom said, " I think ya have enough stuff planted now." LOL I said " Oh ok, mom real tactful." :rolleyes:
