Oh I've been doing that,, and snipping loose pieces with the scissors,, then ya pull a piece and it's attached,, :eek: Yikes..

"They" made me remove MY own before I ever left the hospital. Told me to get in the shower, and work it off. So I stood in the shower, holding on the rail, 'cause I was gonna fall over, told hubby to do it, and clean anywhere he thought might need it too ;) Apparently my privies were pretty dang dirty :D

PS I am kidding about the privies....but he did get in the shower with me ;)

Wow, I wasn't allowed to shower until Sat, that was 4 days YIKES! I was begging to shower in there,, " NO" I have the belly button incision and the lower one, and I'm telling ya if I could hire an ITCHER I would!

The day I was leaving they let me in the shower the only problem is they left the towels on the floor and I couldn't bend over to get them. At that point I couldn't even use my toes to pick them up. I could barely walk. I tried pushing the damn call button but they didn't answer. This went on for at least 10 minutes. Good thing I wasn't dying. I finally heard my hus and Daughter down the hall. No I am half hanging out of the shower completely naked :eek: screaming for help. Finally they came and rescued me from the shower.

I had the 12 INCH incision all the way across my belly....hip to hip...ok, maybe not 12, but pretty dang close. The incision that will be the descriptive feature should they ever find my body in a field somewhere.

PS Ya can't see it anymore...it shrinks down and hides, if ya know what I mean...the coroner will know where to look though ;)

PPSS You can not wear bikini underpants after a c-section...the waistband sits directly ON the incision. So hubby went to buy me panties after....because he has no modesty...he asks a woman shopping in that department for help :rolleyes: Picked me up some nice silky granny panties ;) And at the time, they were wonderful :D

Nope, I've had funner showers in my day....all I wanted then was to LAY down in it. I did wonder what the medical staff would think if they walked in the room and realized BOTH of us were in the shower ;)

My incision from hyst. goes hip to hip also. Hus also had to buy me the granny panties but he was being funny and brought me the biggest size the had. I could have fit my whole family in there with me.

Another note...the medical staff seemed very concerned about bowel movements...must've asked me a thousand times...have ya gone yet? I finally asked dh...'why the h-ll do they keep asking me that ?" He was in the operating room w/ me, watched the whole thing...while I looked at a sheet....any way....he said..."Deb, they took out all your guts (his words) and put 'em on your chest. I think they'll just making sure they didn't kink up something important" :eek:

Btw, his "hospital scrubs" had printing on the back that said...."I helped make a miracle today". We still have those.

PS My dad burst into the recovery room after, nurses running behind him...you can't be in here....he said "I just gotta make sure she's ok" :) Held my hand, gave me a kiss, teared up...and told me..."I just needed to see my own baby ;)

Yeah, I learned about the low panites right off, so I dug out an old grannie pair I had been saving for God knows what,, But they are working,, cept I gotta wash em alot,, another reason I need to go to the store,,, hmmm.

Here's a concern I had the other day,,, ' hope they got all their tools and swabs and any other thing out before they sewed me up'... ya know we have all heard those horror stories! :eek:
