That's an idea! But the horror story I heard was a woman came home and felt fine,, then months later got deathly ill and did die,,and they found out they left a towel inside of her,, can you imagine... EWWWW!

Towel home detector....drink lots of fluids...if it doesn't come out the other end and ya feel a little bloated....might wanna get that x ray....ol' left in towel may still be absorbing. Kinda like Brawny paper towels...

Actualy, these days, surgical towels are made with this blue fiber that is detectable by x-ray. My uncle Rick is a heart surgeon and every time he does a surgery, he has tons of "left over" blue surgical towels that he never even used so he brings them home and gives them away to family. They're great for every day round-the-house use! My entire family has hoards of them by now and we all call them Rickrags. :p

Not to change the topic or anything.....
But it's occurred to me that Bonnie's mom has not divulged her "real" name to us....why is she posting under that Bonnie's mom anonymity? She is afraid of giving out personal information on the internet? Phew, we just discussed our surgeries, incisions, and underwear preferences along with sizes. Any one wanna play a game and guess her name????

You can award a prize when someone gets it right, BM :) Hmmm, it may be necessary to start a real theard for this endeavor....

Yep, nothing better than Rickrags...removed from Aunt Gertrude's gut after her appendice (spell check can't spell it either) surgery..but still perfectlly usuable.

Rhonda wanted to use someone's metal detector....not x rays.

Actually, if you had read all of my posts you would see that my name is on a few of them. You won't find my age in my profile either, but I'll give it to ya..46..(real old) however, that won't help in finding my name, because it was not a popular name EVER except maybe in the 20's...I don't particularly like it, in fact I don't like it at all!!

No actually I didn't. I don't use the phrase...for pete's sake nor dang in "real" life to much...those are family forum appropriate terms....but I do use the phrase Geez, Louise. I have a "real" life friend named Louise....

My mother wanted to name me Mercedes pronounced Mer A dees... and call me Dee Dee. My father said hell no, we aint naming her that. So I'm named for Debbie Reynolds (like all us 40 plus year olds) and my middle name was Paige for Patty Paige.

PS Guess I can't be my OWN prize patrol.... :eek:

Oh sure...you couldn't use the Lord's name in vain...but you could use MINE! Fine! :rofl28ib: The only good thing about having a name like that is there wasn't anybody else in my school that was called Louise...I knew some that had it as a middle name, but not the name they went by. :( It was my middle name also, but I unfortunately went by that name!! I was named after a good friend of my parents.

No Silly...you almost had me confused :confused: ...I went by my middle name which is Louise...I have a different first name...want to try guessing that one to...I didn't like it very much either, but it was probably better than Louise???? Yes she was a very good friend...when my parents married they didn't have any family in the town they lived in and this lady and her husband were like 2nd parents to them and grandparents to my brother and I.

Well, when you are a little girl, and the only other people with the name Louise are all Grandmothers, and all the other little girls had pretty names like Cindy, Julie, and Gina :D. I wanted a pretty name like they all had! Louise is an old person's name...unfortunately I am growing into it :rolleyes:
