| We have gotten snow several times in mid April, not a lot, maybe an 1' or 1 1/2"s but it melts fast. I check the weather every day, yesterday they were calling for 1.9"s, this morning no snow, rain. Makes me a happy camper. We are on day 3 of all day rain, rain for Wed. and Thur. will be 5 straight days of rain, it's also been extremely windy, not so much today tho. I've been having issues getting on YT, have you been experiencing any issues?

| The eclipse won't be seen in my area. I have an internet friend that flies drones, he has a new one with zoom lens. For us to see the eclipse we have to drive to Erie Pa. 4 hour drive. He is making a 2 hour trip and using his new drone but he's not sure if the drone will capture the eclipse even with it's awesome zoom lens. You're lucky it's not a far trip for you and hoping it's a good clear, sunny day. Did you buy the special sunglasses that's needed?. Looking at the weather, by me supposed to be sunny with 62 temps.

| 3 1/2 inches of much needed rain last night ! Hoping it’s a clear day next Monday. I just have a half hour drive to go for it to be covered by the moon. I did get some glasses 👓 |

| Happy to hear you finally got a sizeable amount of rain. Our back roads little streams have overflowed onto the roads with this 4 straight days of rain. Forecasters were wrong with todays weather. They had cancelled out the 1.9" of snow to all rain. This is what I woke up to this morning.IMG_1767__1712232488_32759__1712232488_98620.jpg

| Temps of 46 will melt it, so not a big deal, deck is just sloppy, Cody doesn't like wet sloppy, I may shovel the portion he uses for winter potty.

| https://www.cbsnews.com/news/makanda...ipse-festival/ I get CBS news that pops up on my phone. Yesterday the above link is about the village of Makanda Ill. where the eclipse is the best town to see the full eclipse. I thought you might enjoy reading the article. I also assumed this is where you will be going, lucky you. My back yard is very isolate with thick wooded area. The community next to mine can barely be seen in winter when there's no leaves on the trees. If I were to fall in the yard no one would ever see me there. Neighbors on left and right of me never use their yard. I love it tho, there is much wild life in these woods. I'm a city gal that loves country living. What we don't have is crickets lol, I love their chirping at night. I keep saying I'm going to buy crickets at Pet Smart or Pet Supplies and set them loose in my front yard, so far I haven't, all stores are a distance from malls where I could get them. You must be counting down the days until the 8th. Are you able to take photos of the eclipse.

| Actually, I’m going to a town about a hour south of here. It will be a full eclipse just not quite as long. Lol I’m conservative about driving an hour farther just for a few more seconds of darkness. Do you have a far drive into town to get your groceries etc. |

| LOl, the earth quake. Yesterday everyone was asking me if I felt it, NO I did not. Maybe because I'm on a mountain. I was in Wawa getting gas, it started to snow I was commenting to other ppl about the snow, they were asking me about the earth quake. I haven't checked in my my Drone friend, he lives 3/4 miles below me. Yesterday I was in a large town 50 miles from where I live. One fellow told me he was a block away from his friends house, he was walking when the earth quake hit them, he said his friend that lives one block away called him to see if he was ok, this fellow said his house shook, sounded like an explosion. The fellow that was walking said he felt nothing lol go figure. I read NYC and the the tri-state area which is Conn., NJ and NY had the worse of it. I believe I read it was 4.8. We have transformers in our community, I would have thought one had blown, some years back one did, the explosion was scary. From what I read about the eclipse it is short, but at lease you'll see it. They are building so many things near me, they are taking away so much wooded area, makes me sick, so much wild life is being displaced. There is a huge supermarket 10 minutes from me, that was built maybe 7 years ago, but there was a large supermarket 20 minutes away. Last year they built a Tractor Supply 10 minutes from me, I haven't gone in there yet lol. I will admit it is more convenient having these stores so close, but it's displacing so much wild live that bothers me, and taking away that country look. Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy,Target, Walmart (which I HATE lol) all the pet stores and many many stores is 30 minutes from me. I only go to that area if I have to go to several stores.

| I live in a rural area. So, I’ve got to drive about an hour to go a large shopping center. Walmart pretty much ended the mom and pop shops here in town |

| I've been having major issues getting on YT, could be my computer. You live in a well established area. I live in what used to be very unpopulated area, all heavily wooded. In the 22 years I am living in Pa. many ppl from NY and NJ have moved here. When I first moved here I had to also drive over an hour to malls or places that had strip malls (outdoor stores). As more ppl moved here stores were needed, it wasn't bad because where they built Lowes, Home Depot, Targot , Bed, Bath and beyond all big major stores was all unused property off a major highway. Now they are building close to me, off a road not a highway causing a lot of traffice tie-ups. I live in a tourist town, many summer and winter attractions all year round. Because sales tax are less in Pa. than in NJ and NY, tourist flood the stores. I avoid leaving my house on week ends, i NEVER shop on week ends because the out of towners flood the stores. Week days are busy but not crazy with rude out of towners. I stay on my mountain where its quiet and peacefull.

| I can't answer that because I have NEVER walked through my town. They have no stores that interest me. They have a lot of brewy places, YMCA, the town caters to college kids interests. I do know they have a store that sells sewing machines , another that fixes vacmme cleaners lol. These are the only stores in town that I have used. The town is beautiful, they have kept it nostalgic looking but not run down looking. How did you make out with the eclispe. Were you able to take any pictures. My internet Drone friend that lives 3/4 miles below me felt the eartquake and the 2nd aftermath. I felt nothing, could be even tho he's only 3/4 miles below me, I am much higher, reason being, when you enter my community there's a very steep hill before you come to the first house in the community.
