| My daughter puts my granddaughter's in a ponytail first then she wraps the hair around in a circular motion around the base of the ponytail and uses bobbi pins to pin it in place. She's also a ballerina. Hope that helps you. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Still giggling over peacock disaster description I had to practice ALOT before my french braids looked anything like french braids are supposed to look. And usually ONE side would be perfect and the other....well let's just say...not so perfect.

| Use a lot of bobby pins and hair spray. They also have little bun covers to hide all the loose ends.

| We always pulled the hair into a ponytail, braided it, then wrapped it around and secured it with bobby pins and lots of hair spray.

| I wear my hair twisted up in a bun a lot and I just gather it in a pony tail as tight as I can, twist the pony tail, tight again and then start winding a bun around and around the base of the pony tail...I always fasten it with a scrunchy...and it holds pretty well! You might want to fasten more securely for dance tho.

| When I was in ballet I would put my hair in a low ponytail and then twist the ponytail and wrap it around the band to form a bun. I'd stick a few bobbypins in there to hold it. Then I would put one of those hair nets over the bun and put lots of bobby pins so all the hair was held in. And then I'd hairspray like crazy!

| My daughter is in ballet and we use a sock. Pull the hair up in a pony. Then cut the toes off a mans tube sock and roll it into a doughnut. Slip the sock onto the pony and while holding the head looking down and spread the hair over the sock. Once the sock is covered slip a rubber band carefully over the hair and sock to hold the hair in place. Now the edges of the hair gets twisted and pinned along the rubber band. Finish off the hair on the sock with a comb and hair spay for flatness. Hope this helps a little. |

| When I was in ballet, I would put my hair in a pony tail, however high I liked it, and then braided it. I found that the braided pony wrapped around very nicely. I would take the braid and put it striaght up, hold the base, and wrap around the band that was holding my hair in a pony. I used a hair net, lots of bobby pins & hairspray...my hair was pretty long, which makes a difference. Hope that helps |
