I agree she needed to be told about her behavior. I think I wish I had done it in a more polite and tactful way, and without the swear words, but hopefully it got the point across.

I think she would be a much happier person, and may even be able to make some actual friends. I know everyone around her would be much happier too!

Wow..I'm impressed. I don't think I could manage going to dinner w/ my DH x. She came over our house once and ran her mouth.

I told DH she was not welcome back. I will draw from your courage...there are so many things I would love to say!!

Go Girl...and don't feel bad about it...it needed to be done.

You know your probably not the only one who gave her some. She sent back her food 3 times? Im betting the wait staff gave her some too.

Yep she sent it back THREE times. The first time I can understand. She ordered it well done and said she wanted no pink at all, and when she got it it was still very pink inside. That one I would have sent back too. I would have done it more politely than she did, but I would have. The second and third time there was nothing wrong with it that I could see. She was still claiming (and doing so very rudely) that it wasn't done enough.

The rest of the time she was calling our waiter imcompetent and making him feel like dirt. I believe you can tell a LOT about a person by the way they treat a waiter or waitress. She spoke to them like they were so far beneath her. I felt bad for him and left him a very nice tip. I mouthed the words "I'm so sorry" to him when she wasn't looking. There is just no reason to behave the way she did.

I am soooooooooooooooooooo glad you told her off!! That would have been priceless...you did exactly what I would have done..Im suprised you held off this long!! I would have loved to see her face!!

You go girl, that was great!!! And I have to agree with your mom. The crying was probably because she didn't get the sympathy she wanted from either Mike or E...and she was probably mad as hell....not hurt.

Sending her food back 3x?? That is crazy! You need to ask E if she was sick the next day. Seriously, when I was in college I worked as a hostess at a really expensive steakhouse and when there was a pain in the butt customer, I just knew what they were going to do to the food before they brought it back out! It was gross!!!

All the servers would talk about it and brag about the things they did. And this was a really, really nice restaurant!

Maybe you won't have to do anything more with them. I always thought you must be a really nice person to do things with your husbands ex.

I am SOOO proud of you for telling her how you feel and then standing up for yourself when she said you were jealous! Truth is...she is jealous..or she wouldn't have said that. Way to go!

What an idiot!!! I've heard from people who worked in restaurants that servers WILL spit in your food, or do other gross stuff to it if your rude to them. I'm sure not all do it, but I'm always polite to our server, if they piss me off I give them either a lousy tip (there have been times where I didn't tip because the service was beyond unnacceptable), or just walk out before I get my food...but I could never be rude to someone that is about to hand me my dinner!!! I'm sure not all servers will actually do something to the food, but it's definitly not worth the risk!
