| Call your local police station and ask them if anyone has reported a missing dog. I had a lost Yorkie here for the night once and when I called the police the owner had called them and reported it and we were able to get him back to his owner. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | You've gotten some good advice here. I'd also post signs in vets offices, on street corners, call the pound, call the humane society and the local newspaper. Good luck!

YT 500 Club Member | I agree. I had a few threads here two weeks ago because someone found a lost dog on a country road. Our vet put an ad in the local paper, and after it ran once, the couple came forward. This poor little dog had been out for quite some time. If someone is looking for this poor little dog, they will look in the papers and call animal control. You may want to also notify animal control to let them know you have the dog. Good luck to you. You obviously are a good person.

| Just wanted to see how the little girl made it through the night. I thought about her all night. I also wanted to make sure that you saw my offer to come and get her if you can't make other arrangements or find her parents. I am only 3.5 hours from you and can keep her until parents are found or she is rehomed. Kim

| I'd feed her, because she will get hungry. I couldn't call the ASPCA, because if nobody claims her she's a goner. I might tell them I found her and am caring for her until someone claims her. I'd put up flyers, and call no kill shelters to report that you have her. Thanks for taking her home, and not leaving her roaming the streets.
