| silly fears Ok, well Im not a baby or anything and I dont let it stop me... but my 3 weird fears are: 1. balloons - I hate them! They make my heart race when I have to be around them in closed quarters, like a car! 2. worms - i know, there is nothing to fear but I hate them and (typical) 3. Committment!!!! LMAO!!! Im 30 single, smart, fairly attractive, but not married, not taken and happy with that. I don't want to get married, I dont want to lose my independance. I dont want to kids, cuz they tie you down! I can't stop laughing bc I know how awful that sounds! But its true! Im too independant and afraid to lose that if I have a sig other!

and I'm also afraid because once when I was like....5...I went to this party and some animal guy was there. He said that once some guy called him because he woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and there was a snake in his toilet. Ever since that, I've always turned on the light at night. I'm scared of SOME porceline dolls. I have two - one my Grandma got me and one my Aunt gave me from Ireland. I adore both of those. But any other ones FREAK ME OUT. I remember in 4th grade we went on a field trip to the oldest house in my town. It's a meauseum (sp) now. There was a "doll" room that was filled up with porceline dolls with cracked faces and stuff. I've never been so scared haha. I'm also scared of the Weird New Jersey books. They freak me out a lot. and...this one's pretty weird....I'm afraid of musicals made into movies haha. Some of them are good, but a lot are just AWFUL.

| OK, I'm a big girl...and a grandmother to 14 kids who lloookk upon me as a tower of strength and superpowers.....I hate balloons & spooky movies & they all know it. (At least i'm not afraid of XXX !!!) Here's a good one, ex-hubby has always been afraid of spiders. After the big "D" he would come over to get our daughter and just walk in our house like he bought it. I picked up the movie poster to Arachnophobia & put it on the living room wall so it was the first thing he saw when he'd come through the door. He only saw it one time....from then on he'd stay in his car in the driveway and honk for her.

| I'm terrified of: elevators (I got lost in one as a child, wrong floor and all) clowns (because of "It") I don't care for dolls or Chucky either. bugs (they send me screaming like a lil girl ) being alone in the dark (I start getting panic'd and it goes downhill from there) deep water (almost drowned a few times, can't swim well, I really panic if I get water in my face, including in the shower) I'm also OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) so I'm sure that only intensifies some of my fears.

I worked at the Butterfly Zone in the Bronx Zoo a couple years ago during a summer internship. Basically a few of us would have to stand in there and make sure no kids picked up the butterflies or tried to catch them. I thought "ok no big deal", right? boy was i wrong. after being in there for 5 minutes and seeing all those things flying around me and landing on me i totally freaked out. i ran out and switched with someone who was on the outside. you wouldn't believe the size of some of those damn things. Some moths were bigger then my hand. OMG it was so scary. OH and a few weeks ago i was walking up the ramp into work when i spotted a HUGE luner moth on the wall a foot from me. I totally ran in the other direction and went in the back way. I'm sure i was hilarious to watch because i was calming walking into work sipping my tea and then a split second later i screamed, choked on my tea, and ran in the other direction. *shudders* so creepy. oh course i had to explain myself to the receptionist who saw the whole thing. which then, of course, she had to go outside and get it and BRING IT INSIDE to show the others. I refused to be in that part of hte building and went quickly upstairs. I'm also afraid of clowns, porcelain dolls, going to the bathroom in the dark (the whole mirror thing also freaks me out thanks to Bloody Mary, Candyman, and other great films....), bugs (especially those that can fly or jump at me and all spiders), TICKS on dogs (of course i'm a vet tech and the girls at work like to trick me into looking at something on a dog that ends up to be a HUGE engorged tick), and i hate hate hate the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (almost got stuck in it during and accident. our care was 4 away from being inside it). i'm also afraid of the ocean. Not the water itself but the creepy things in it that can touch me or eat me. Seaweed on my leg is the creepiest thing in the world and i will scream like a little girl.

OMG! I know what you mean about the mirror thing. I make my boyfriend come to the bathroom and talk to me when I'm washing my face at night. I'm always afraid that after I rinse and dry off my face and look into the mirror I will see someone standing behind me!! | |
