I was very surprised what came about with my service plan with them. Maybe everything works out for the best. After doing some research on the net, I decided to go with Verizon, they have the VZ Navigator, am impressed with that and the cost is very reasonable. I won't have to worry about getting lost now and most likely will save as much on gas as what it will cost me to have this added to my monthly fee with them I also have been charged a $5.00 monthly fee for a few months now because I didn't switch over to the new system so it is Verizon, "here I come." Yippee.

what is the VZ navigator? Sounds like itz interesting ... and now I need to check to see if I have been charged $5.00 b/c I have not switched over (if I need to switch over even) Thanks for the info :-)

OH MY GOSH I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! I hate cingular with a passion now. I have had nothing but problems with them. I bought a moto razr for 300 dollars and had to replace it three times! rediculous! U.S. Cellular razrs dont seem to have the same problems that cingulars do. Everytime I had a problem the cingular people at the store would just give me this number to call and they said that they would REPLACE MY PHONE WITH A COMPRIBLE PHONE. So I took it and I called the number I couldnt understand the person on the other end because of her heavy forgine accent so my mother had to talk to her. My mom argued on the phone with this lady for ONE HOUR JUST TO GET A CCOMPRIBLE PHONE and had to talk to her supervisor just to get one to! Absolutly rediculous I finally got a comprible phone but arguing for that long was just stupid. They shouldnt be telling people that they will give them comprible phones if they dont.

VZ Navigator is a program you can download anytime at an additional cost of $9.99 per month,you can input where you want to go an address, etc, it then tells you how to get where you want to go, it directs you on where to turn, etc. over speaker in phone and also has the maps, etc. It is so neat, for me it will be great. If you go to their site WWW.Verizon.Com it has a demonstration there so you can see what it is all about. They explain it real well and the demonstration is great. I shopped till I thought I would drop today, from many various stores, on getting the phone I like, and got the best deal. If you PM me I will tell you what it is all about, will be getting one of the nicest phones and with a rebate it will be free the price is not the same everyplace. In wanting to get the VZ Navigator you have to have a phone that will accomodate that, not all phones do. Yes, do check your bill and see if they have charged you the $5.00. oh that is like what I have in my car .... might be good to have if i get lost on the street ... I shall look into all this new stuff ... thanks for the heads up ...

Sad to see how times have changed through the years, I guess I go back a long way remembering how it use to be and the courtesy extended to people. Majority of the time these days, it just isn't so. Next time I go into a store and pay for something and I am given the usual "THERE YOU GO." I told Jack I am going to scream that is the courtesy extended in most of the stores here in California upon paying and receiving merchandise, be it grocery store or whichever, I have always extended my reply of "YOUR WELCOME" assureadly not with a Thanks for letting me vent, appreciate feedback on other cell phone providers.

I have been with Cingular since 1999 when they were Southwestern Bell and never had a problem with them...although they have been thru several changes within the last several years...they have been the most reliable provider i have tried...

i hate tmobile because i always get drop calls...i opened a line for my mom and her first months phone bill was almost $400 and she barely use her phone because she could never get signal at her house...so we canceled

the tried verizon when they first came out and they were the most expensive and very bad customer service....they point the finger at the customer instead of trying to make things right!

so unless Cingular does me wrong I won't change company even though they their incentives is pretty pricey compare to other companies but their network is good and customer service is getting better...

I've had t-mobile for 5 years and have never had any problems with them! They have great customer service too!!

We changed our provider cell phone service today and got the new phone we are very happy in doing so. For the first time ever we are able to use cell phone in the canyon and here in the mountains, great reception no problem at all Never ever could we do that before. Thanks so much for your inputs, we appreciated each and all of you posting back to our thread. Patti and Jack

I have Cingular and I have no complaints whatsoever. However, I have had T-Mobile and I loved it. It might have something to do with my very pretty sidekick that I had to give up when we moved to WI. Grrrrrrr!

I've only had Verison for a few months and have already had a beef with them. Right off the bat I started getting text messages that were the most obscene things you could ever think of! I asked for a new phone number and thought the transition went smuttily. (I've only had a couple of them on the new number.) Anyway my husband has paid the bill for me so I really wasn't looking at them. THEN when I do I see that they are overcharging me by at least$100.00 I made him straighten it out. What had happened is that BOTH phones were on my account and I was paying for someone else's phone. They must have given out that number immediately! I think they ought to wait at least 6 mo.
My husband said the women he dealt with was super and they had it taken care of in an hour or two.
The reception I get is really great! No dropped calls, I can hear and be heard and no dead zones like I had with Cingular.

Hi, we got the Verizon plan and the LGVX 8300 phone. Ohhhhhhhh, now to get it all set up, really like the phone, however I can't see to do the settings, and then also have lost lot of hearing in my left ear after having the stroke, notice this phone isn't as loud as my old one, but then again am sure it isn't set correctly.
