Villette, the ones I love the most are by Alora Ambiance. My best friend gets them in stores in Austin but the only place I've bought them are on-line (one on-line store and once on Ebay). Yes, these are pricey. I think they are well worth it though considering how much scent you get (24/7) versus the price of candles and having to remember to light them and blow them out. There are so many places out there though that are starting to carry the reed diffusers. I've never seen one in Pier 1 but I rarely go in one of those stores because I love too much that they have and it's way too tempting!! I did get one at Pottery Barn last Christmas and I think it was about $25 and the Yankee Candle diffusers are about $20. The 16 oz. Alora ones I have in the house have lasted nearly a year! I think my Pottery Barn one is 16 oz. so I'll have to wait and see how long it lasts. I just love having the scents all over the house without having to light candles and make sure they are lit when people come over, ya know? This way, I'm ready for anybody! And in your case, I know you have to watch open flames when oxygen is in use, so I take it that means candles too? The diffusers would be great for you then. I would maybe start out with a small one to see if you like it. I'm not sure if the Yankee Candle ones come in a smaller size but the Alora comes in an 8 oz. and I saw some on Ebay yesterday. Let me know if you try them out!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Thank you Ang !! That's exactly my problem... plus anything heavy bothers him so I want to find something safe AND long lasting - you've been a huge help !! I have a Scentia Lamp that just rocks - it's the best scented lamp I've ever used http://www.scentierlampes.com/scentier_lampes/index.asp it last for days...You light the 'stone' & let it burn for 2 minutes - blow it out and you have awesome scent for days with no burner ...no nothing - BUT - that flame bothers me when I have to light it. I need to try the diffusers...they sound so safe and you don't have to light anything - thanks so much for all your information - this thread was so interesting - I'd never even heard of them before |

| That's just like the Lampe Berger (sp?), right? But aren't you supposed to put the cap back on after about 30 minutes or so? A friend of mine forgot to put the cap back on to cool that stone thing and once the oil was all gone, it started stinking like something burning. I had one of those (and still do) but don't use it anymore. The scent was really strong in the area you sit it. It worked okay but then I discovered the reed diffusers and love them!!

| Let me know what scents they have and the prices. I still have to get Mother's Day gifts and the only idea I had was the Yankee Candle one because I've seen them at Bed, Bath and Beyond. But we do have a Pier 1 here so that's another option.

| I don't turn the warmers off at all, unless we are going to be gone for days. Once we were gone for 5 days and I did forget to turn them off, but they were still fine. They don't get as hot as an iron anyway. I love them and the fragrance from the candles lasts for a couple of months. I even bought some of the little fat squaty candles and put them in a jar. Cheaper than buying the candles already in the jar. I love a bargan. |

| LOL! Sometimes you just happen to pick a subject a lot of people are passionate about. In this case..... pretty smells! We all want our houses to smell nice so this was a great thread. I'm just so happy with my Alora diffusers that I wanted to share!
