I don't turn the warmers off at all, unless we are going to be gone for days. Once we were gone for 5 days and I did forget to turn them off, but they were still fine. They don't get as hot as an iron anyway. I love them and the fragrance from the candles lasts for a couple of months. I even bought some of the little fat squaty candles and put them in a jar. Cheaper than buying the candles already in the jar. I love a bargan.
