My best friend since Kdg lost her Mom when she was your age as well, and then 6mths later her Dad had a heart attack and died. It was really, really tough for her.

Do you have any siblings? I know my friend Angel took solace in her relationship with them...

I can only say that I know exactly how you feel. I lost my mom when she was only 37 and I was just 18. Not only that but I was left to raise my younger siblings ages 9, 11 and 13. It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through and I still miss her so much - she passed away in 1983. And I know eveyone says it will get better but honestly, it always hurts but you learn to live with it and in spite of it. I still feel a twinge when my friends mom comes over to watch her kids and I think how lucky she is but I really would not trade my mom for anything even if it means that I don't have her anymore. Just this past June my baby sister - the one who was 9 also passed away. Also, from breast cancer and not only that but she left behind 4children the oldest 13 the youngest only 4. I miss her so much and someone described it perfectly to me when they were talking about their loss - it's just a yearning. Yearning for them to be here to share with and talk to. I miss both of them now. But I have learned to live and enjoy life despite that yearning and that feeling of loss. I think you will too. Your mom is with you still and I bet sometimes you can feel that - I know that I can. If you every need someone to talk to - let me know. Theresa

Hi everyone! I just want to say thank you, thank you so very much. i am constantly amazed at the support that YT brings and i am so grateful to have all of you. Your words have brought me so much comfort and they mean so much to me. For those of you that can feel my pain and have been in similar situations, i am so sorry for you, and i will keep you in my prayers. Thank you for sharing, it helps to know that i am not alone in this pain. I am doing ok, i continue to wake up every morning and am filling my days by spending time with people i love. bella is a great help, i dont know what i would do without her! she is my reason for living some days. Some days i dont realize she is gone, other days i would give anything in the world to call and talk to her or just to hold her one last time. I have been away at college so i am used to going long periods of time without seeing her, although we talked a thousand times a day. her birthday is coming up april 9th so that will be hard!! along with easter....she called me her bunny and everywhere i look i see them right now. A yearning is the best way to describe it, and that is followed by a feeling of emptiness. there is no love in the world like a mother loves a daughter and vice versa, but i find comfort in God and in the fact that i know she is peaceful and in heaven. i will forever miss her, but i keep reminding myself that i now have an angel watching over me forever. i am crying now and cant write much more, but i will keep everyone updated, and thank you all so much!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear from you. I know it has been almost 3 weeks since my Mom passed away and I just long to see her one more time hear her voice again. I know what you mean about the support oon here!! It has helped me so much and people are still checking in on me. Keep strong and memories will get us through.

My cousin lost her mother at about the same age as you....and totally unexpectedly.

You are at such a pivotal and transitional phase in life....and like you say, there was still so much ahead to share with her. Your feeling of being "lost" is such a valid one.

I'm so sorry that this happened, and sorry for your grief and loss.

I'm so sorry about your Mom. I know how you feel. My mother was 56 and I was in my mid-twenties when she died. I will pray for you, and keep you in my heart.

OMG your post has made me cry for you....you sound like such a sweet and loving young lady and your Mom was lucky to have you in her life, too. I understand your feelings..I lost my mom when I was 18, a freshman in college,and I still miss her to this day. Over the years, I have developed many MOM relationships with the older women in my life. My aunt and grandmother have really meant the world to me and stepped in to try and fill the incredible void. I am now almost the age my mom was when she died and my daughter is almost the age that I was. Time passes but my Mom's spirit is with me always. My heart is reaching out to you and I pray that each day you get a little stronger...you definitely have an angel in heaven looking over you. I am sending you a big hug.

Joy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom almost 4 years ago.Although I'm 52 years old I still feel like a orphane. Losing our parents is a very difficult part of life. Bless you Joy, I will keep you in my prayers.If you need to talk please PM me. Those rabbits one day will bring you comfort.
