| Depressed got slammed, for adopting a dog. I'm on a homesteading board. No I don't homestead yet but plan too. Anyway, I was thinking of adopting a puppy a stray no not yorkie or but a small mix of God only knows what that needs a home. Only thing is that gets me the most. is he kept harping about how many pets I've got. Hmm let me see 1 dog,two cats and a turtle. Okay that's too many? there's people on that list that breed mutts and giving them away willynilly. I lost J too his health issues and Maffeny I never even had, she died at her foster mom's home. Everyone here except the turtle is spayed or neutered. uptodate on shots and have tons of toys, best food I can afford and all the love I can give. and I'm a horrible person. Don't get it. I truly don't. TyTy just really down. |

| The more fur, feathers, scales or whatever I have, the happier I am, so, no, I certainly don't think you are a horrible person. I think you're a loving, caring person who wants to give better lives to creatures who may never know what a safe, loving home is. I say "Bravo for you" and wish you all the best.

| Don't get depressed because of the ignorant people out there. They are not worth it. You have a wonderful caring and loving heart. I would adopt as many as you can handle and stick my nose up to anyone who had anything to say about it. |

| Animal lovers are some of the best people. I would ignore the all the negative comments and do what YOU feel is best. In the words of Bon Jovi, "It's my life. It's now or never. I ain't gonna live forever." So I say go adopt any dog you want!! PS - When I was planning on getting my third dog, Cali Cupcake, my sister, father and grandma gave me and my hubby a lot of slack. They complained that we were always so busy and already had our hands full with two dogs and there was no need to get a third. Did I listen to them? Nope! And I'm so glad I didn't because if I would have, then I wouldn't have my little Cali girl (and she's such a JOY).

| Dont listen to other people. I have 3 dogs and 2 fish tanks and I want more . I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are wanting to adopt another dog. In fact I think it makes you an AWESOME person and anyone that tells you otherwise is the bad guy. Cheer up, I hope you feel better

| I'll ingore them. I quess it's just where I'm sick. Little bit about me. they know and I've never posted here. Is I'm losing my hearing, I've applied for a hearing dog. {who doesn't look like she's going to pass} and I'm currently undergoing chemo. I want a puppy who will snuggle on the couch. don't give a rats behind I'm isck and losing my hair. I love cats. but the two I have are my husbands and eldest daughter's. they really bonded with them and really don't like me. and Porty my puppy isn't a snuggler. more of a heavy duty off the wall goof. and I adore him. doesn't like to be held, dones't like kisses. and has a let's play. attitude again something I love. like I said I quess I'm letting the I'm blue blues get me. | homesteading is like farming but with smaller land. Quote:

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Don't let a nay sayer get you down. You obviously have a heart of gold and honestly if you can afford to keep them in a safe, clean and loving home then go for it. I could undertand if you were one of those crazy animal collectors that are negligent and can't care for the animals. If you have the room and want to do it then do it. Some people just never know when to mind their own dang business. What ever happened to the motto of "if you don't have something nice to say then say nothing at all".

| That old homestead grouch would probably think I am really nuts -- I have 4 dogs! I love each one of them and and have never regretted getting any of them. People should not tell others what is right and not right with their lives. We are all different and have different capabilities and limitations. Just tell him that you are sorry that he could not handle that many pets but you are doing just great -- in fact have plenty of love for another!

| Okay here it is. I took him in as a foster. Poor guy was wandering between a highway and a farm who had beagles and coonhounds they hunt. well this poor fella thought he was a coonhound and would follow then out. Well Grandpa was kinda of upset about this. and said either the puppy goes or I'll take him to the pound. I took him. I'll see what happens I've already spoke to the pound and my husband about him. and we've named him Jadan. after a yorkie here. TyTy |

| I think it's so sweet that you care about animals and are willing to open up your home to a sweet dog who needs one desperately! Don't worry about what others say, just do what feels right in your heart<3 |
