Also, make cornbread WITHOUT sugar, otherwise you would call that corncake, not cornbread..

and the only way to make real southern biscuit -- use lard...

i am too late for breakfast but here's my favorite. Fried eggs, fried sausage, fried potatoes, fried apples, gravy, biscuits, grits 9not the sugar kind so many people like. just plain cooked grits with salt and pepper and a little butter. then to top it off. (deep breath....)....or you might want to go Creole with some jambalaya, dirty rice, crawfish, or etouffee.

Now do you see why I had to start dieting? LOL!!!
