It's so sunny and nice by the lake today.
Here's the house from the outside.

We love our little house. It's 1100 sq ft. Our last house was 2500 and we only used half of it; but we could sleep 11 for the weekend!!!

Thank you. I don't usually use dark colors but I fell in love with this red...it's kind of a deep terra cotta...it's called Pizza Pie. The view makes it all worth it for us...it's so peaceful...it's good for the soul!

GREAT PIX EVERYONE

It makes me rethink repainting my house inside. I happen to have VERY dark colors and keep thinking if I repaint in sometign like BUTTERCREAM it will open the house up more. Now I don't feel so bad about my dark colors.

My Main color through the house is called GRAPELEAF green and BOY IS IT!!! Same color as leaves on a grapevine. Kinda like a dark deep avacado

I used the dark red in 2 rooms because we have so much light in this house...otherwise I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to use them! We have 2 large sky lights in the living room and huge windows in every room...it's great to enjoy the view but not so great for decorating...no wall space!

All of your pictures are beautiful. I live with my mom so I don't have any pics of my own but hopefully one day I can have my own place, I can't wait to decorate! But Dang what do you guys do for a living?!?

In case you're asking about mine...we're retired...we've done houses for 25 years and this is supposed to be our last one but I don't think so...I already have my eye on another one! Our house is small and not all that expensive but we enjoy it! I do agree though...some of the other homes in this thread are wonderful

What a view. I used to live on a lake in Mich. Gave it up for sunny Fl. Sure do miss it. Love your colors, I definately need to give my house some color.

Thank you! I do enjoy the lake but I miss the Florida sunshine...wanna trade?? Don't be afraid of color...it can be your friend! I have to decide what accent color to use with the taupe and white in the room addition...I guess I'll find the curtains I like and pull something from there.

Thank you. I am going to do some redecorating this summer. I love the country/primitive theme but I think I have over done it a little, especially in my kitchen...LOL. I may get brave and try some blue somewhere...
