Well little darlin' ya see, my horse broke a leg Sunday after dinner and it was either get the vet out here or get the Berlandier's Tortoise undressed for the day. The horse needin' the vet won out, and Pete had to go get him. So as you can see Pete didn't get her Sunday finery off of her yet. |
Oh well thank you kind sir for the explanation! But inside she was thinking the man to be a bit daff! So sitting at a table nearby, was a little old wrinkled woman having a cup of tea. So she approached her with the hopes that she might have seen her parents. So she slowly approached the lady and ............. |
just at that moment, in walked her parents. "Oh Sally! We've been looking everywhere for you. I'm so sorry we didn't pay attention and nearly lost you and so happy we found you," said her mama. Sally hugged her mom and dad and then asked, "What are we going to do about the dogs dad?" |
And her parents said...well sweety, we've given this a lot of thought, and we think that.... |
We may have to visit the local ASPCA and see if they can help us out. But then her mommy and daddy looked down at Sally and asked where Lucky was. Sally screamed..............LUCKY.........where are you and she started to cry. Lucky had just been sitting right next to her a moment ago. Sally........ |
thought Lucky haqd run away or been stolen. But the funny man behind the counter hollared, "It's OK little girly, I gotcher baby over here. She was lickin' the floor 'cause she was so hungry, so I gave her some grub." |

but their was a "gone fishing" sign on the door. The Vet wouldn't be back until tomorrow. Little Lucky was panting so hard and jumped right out of the arms of Sally's daddy and took off for the little spring lake where the vet was fishing and gulped down lots of water. Everybody ran after Lucky and when they got to the lake........... |
The vet was yelling at the little Yorkie who had gulped down half of the lake and the fish were jumpin' all over 'cause they could hardly breath from lack of water! Poor little Lucky just squatted and peed the lake right back where she got it from. |

STOP!!! And to their surprise, the turtle stopped! They slowly walked up to the turtle. The turtle turned it's head to look at Sally. Sally leaned over to look at this rather large turtle.....oh my goodness she declared, this turtle has a zipper just like the one Lucky had when she first came to us. So she ........... |
