They tried to go in but the water was 68 degrees and way too cold to swim in so they rushed back to MORKIE4's house and went swimming in her nice heated pool and laid out on the lounge chairs catching some rays. After that,.......... |
OMG a heated pool in Florida!? ...they decided to roast some chicken on the grill and have a bite to eat. |
Then they threw some ribs and burgers on the grill, mixed up some frozen strawberry daqauris for the adults and some root beer floats for Sally. Lucky, Toby and Kallie were running around in the plush green yard having the time of their life!!!! It was such a fun day and well worth the trip back to Florida to see the very nice MORKIE4 lady. But as the sun was setting....... |
WSally's dad said, "Well NICE MORKIE4 lady, we must get our motor home back to the park for the night so we can get a good start in the morning for home. Thank you so much for the warm southern hospitality. Please come up to see us. We'd be happy to have you. And they walked off into the golden sunset. |

Chuckle.. Maine, their beloved home state. They waved goodbye to the NICE MORKIE4 lady and went on their merry way. They stopped on the road and bought a great big bag of BAA-BAA-Q treats for Lucky (oh yummy). And everyone was content to be traveling on the road home. |
So they headed east to the other side of Florida to travel up the coast and see the beautiful beaches. were so suprised and excited to see their neighbors the Johnsons! They had brought their family of Standard Poodles with them and they were getting ready to cook some staks on the grill for dinner. Well Hi, Neighbor, pull up a chair and have a beer! Why bring the whole family over and let's get a look at that new little yorkie pup you have. So everybody came over to the Neighbor Johnson's camp site and had a nice long chat and dinner. But it was getting late now and so................. |
Eveyone went back to their own RVs and got ready for bed. What a lovely evening they had. Lucky settled down with Sally and pretty soon it was quiet and the only thing you could hear was a bird chirpind once in a while and Lucky fussing with the blanket. |
But then suddenly there was a loud noise coming from outside.. |
Nobody had told Sally's mom and dad that their were bears in the park. They felt somewhat safe in the RV but they had left food out and had forgotten the golden rule when camping: DO NOT LEAVE FOOD OUT!!!! But then Lucky started barking and they heard the bear touch the door handle of the RV. So................... |
Bears in florida? ...having had experience with animals in costume, Sally was not the tiniest bit afraid. She walked right over, opened thje door and gave that bear a big hug, all the while feelng for the zipper! |
Bingo! She found the zipper.........she knew there were no bears in Florida. So she asked her daddy to help her with the zipper as it was stuck in the fur. But before her dad could come over to help her, the "thing" in the bear costume ran off into the woods. Lucky jumped from the RV and began to....... |
bark her little head off at the "thing" and chased after it into the woods. Unfortunately, Lucky is dark and tiny and the sun had set and it was dark and scarey in the park. Oh no! What was Sally going to do? How could she ever get Lucky back? |
