Does anyone have any "sides" ideas? I'm running out :) Last night was frozen brocoli and califlower (steamed) with a slice of cheese on top :) What else is good? |
Well I just started yesterday! Does anyone know of any good red dry wines? Are semi-dry ones ok (after the first two weeks). I have heard and read soooo much of the benefits of a small glass of red wine I also wanted to be able to do this on the low carb diet. I have read some and know that the dry ones are ok but wasn't sure about the semi-dry ones and am not sure if their are any good ones (I tend to like the sweeter ones and know this will be hard if not impossible to find a dry one I like)! I hope someone has some advice! Thanks!!!:D |

Im not on a specific diet, but I need to loose weight. I see the nutrionist and she just gives me things that i an eat not a a diet per se. Can u post your low carb diet? Will love to be able to follow it. :) Congrat on your will power to loose weihgt. Hugs, Mari |

Just a warning that I experienced yesterday and today. With this diet you really don't feel hungry but you need to make sure you eat enough! Yesterday afternoon I exercised and burned about 300 calories, a while later I started feeling so sick and it lasted all night and I felt even worse this morning. I started to think about it...I think I only had about 800 calories yesterday and I burned 300 of them off. :eek: Not good! I did not do this on purpose. |

I think you need more protein and fat with your lunch. I need to find my book but I believe they are key to appetite suppression. Edit I just saw you had chicken in your salad...hmmm, I'm not sure. If you have too many carbs your appetite will come back right away, maybe add more chicken and a little less veggies |
So the trick is to eat more meat and cheese? Am I doing it wrong? |

Also, I read somewhere that your stomache feels hunger pangs if you are thirsty too. Drink some water and see if that helps. THis diet is a diuretic and you will need more water than usual when you first start |

Oh and I bought some Breyers Chocholate Icecream and took a small spoon bite. (ok, 2 bites) Its GOOD !!!! I couldn't even tell the diff, and its made with Splenda. I also went and bought Diet Rite. I'm a pepsi drinker. Its ok. Since I have to switch to diet its a big change for me but my husband LOVES it. Its made with splenda too. I'm trying to drink only water and crystal light right now to clean me out. I'm doing 8 glasses of 8 ounces per day. |

Ya, crystal light is good. But you know what my favorite is? Sugar free Cherry Kool Aid! LOL I also just bought some peach flavored sparkling water at walmart. It's pretty yummy too. |

Ok I'm eating a Cinamon Bun Bar.......ahhhhhh yuck? I'm not digging it! But I'm doing it :) Well the carbs on the back say 15! But the front says net Atkin count is 2? So am I counting this as 2 or 15 ? I hope its 2 !!!!!! |
Net carbs is the number after you subtract sugar alcohols and fiber from the total carbs. Since it is an atkins bar and it says 2 net carbs it should be fine. 15 is probably the total number of carbs |
hahaha! They are an acquired taste I think. I should have said, out of all the bars these are the best ones...I know they aren't yummy:p But with coffee, they do ok for me. Definately can't eat one without something to drink:p |
