| Words that Drive you Nuts My daughter this AM was telling me about a picture of a Christmas "reef" and that brings me to this question: What are words that people commonly mispronounce or use incorrectly that just bug you? My husband all of the time says "Valentime's Day" and how he went outsie and "crunk" up his car to get it warm. and that he has to "steer" up his outmeal. And sometimes I just want to say, "It's STIR...STIR...not STEER!!" His mother says she needs to get her 'subscription' for her medicine filled, and hopes they let her get the 'genetric' kind. She also claims to suffer from 'closet-fobia.' (Fear of closets?) |

| My older brother says Happy BirFday My dad has to waRsh the car My husband's grandma who probably only finished elementary school says all kinds of stuff strangely, you often scratch your head trying to figure her out, but the funniest she's ever said was when the movie Dr. Dolittle came out, she really liked it and told everybody about this funny movie called Dr. DoDildo |

| I hate when my sis in law says 'criss' instead of crisps, and my nephew says 'Lear' as in the jet instead of 'Leah' which is my daughters name. But when my son was smaller he would say 'fanana' (banana) 'fannoying' (annoying) everything starting with 'f' and i loved it as it was so cute!

| I love this thread. Ok so I hate when people say Ax instead of ASK, and when people turn the TH into F's like Monf, birfday, etc. My dad is funny and he says funny things. We try to correct him but he just KNOWS he is saying it right He watches a lot of football and when he first started watching it he used to call an interception a centerception and a fumble was fumbo and he also says the word Danger, like DAWNGER..lol..it's so cute
