I am furious! I was looking at dog clothes on ebay and there are TONS of people that HAVE STOLEN my pictures!!!! I am sooooo mad. I spend hours and hours working on photo editing and I am sooooo tedious with detail and people just stole my work! And what is worse is that several of them have watermarked the pics as thier own, my dear sweet chloe has someone elses store name on her!! I guess I now have to spend any free time I can manage to find watermarking over thousands of pictures that I have on my site. This just makes me sick to my stomach and I had to vent! |
OMGoodness! This horrible! I'M MAD FOR YOU! You should report it to ebay, I think they would consider that scamming and might delete their listing.I've seen them delete listings for a lot less. It's worth a shot. I'm so sorry this happened to you:( |
You can contact eBay and they can have the seller remove those pictures and anything else that may be yours. I think the sellers get a strike against them too or something. I had a person who copied my whole listing once w/ picture and my "business" stuff too.......I contacted eBay and it was removed right then! Sorry this happened........people can be so crazy!!!! |
OMG...I would be soooooo furious too. This is soooo not right. But I would contact ebay let them know what is going on and maybe they will make them delete all the pictures or something. People have some nerve. Stealing our precious Chloe's pictures..... I am sooo sorry this happened to you! I truly believe that what goes around, comes around! ANd these mean people will get what they deserve one day! |

I understand that some people dont know that taking pictures from a competitors website is wrong because they dont always realize how much time is spent on them, but I consider my pictures/graphics to be like artwork, after all it is my dog, I spend alot of time on the graphic detail and alot of time taking hundreds of pictures to get that perfect photo so I consider it stealing when someone uses my pic without asking. So I am contacting every company on ebay that is using my pictures without permission (since chloe does model for several companies there are other pics of her all over ebay that people CAN use) and Im giving them 24 hours to remove my pics before I contact ebay. I tried to be as nice as possible but when someone watermarks my picture like it is thier own that really BURNS ME UP!! :thumbdown This person has been making money on my chloe's picture |
Does anyone knwo the contact info for ebay for something like this? |
Yes......go to SafeHarbor At the bottom of the page.......get their butt kicked off Ebay..... Now that is down right "theft" |

I keep trying to follow the steps to turn someone in but it wants each individual listing (which this person probobly has my pictures on 50 different listings) and then it wants me to give them MY listing to show the picture they copied. How do I just call an actual person at ebay? |
this stinks. they are profiting from your hard work. |
Hummmmm....I asked hubby who sells a ton on Ebay.... Make sure your choosing the right category.......try a couple till it is exactly the statement you want to make...... You will not be able to call Ebay unless you are a "power seller". That is one of the only benefits you get once you achieve that status.... Dont get discouraged....... Ok...I reread your posting......just turn in one or two or three.......that will get them to take notice and ultimately the person using your pics illegally will be kicked off..... |
There is a "Live Help" option on the front page, this might work for you |
Also Try reporting it here, this might be your best bet http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/?ssPageName=f:f:US |
Shana, post her store listing here so we can all help you report it. I can't find her store that you gave me in the pm you sent me. |
I don't blame you for being furious...I would be too! Especially someone having the audacity to watermark YOUR picture! I would report it to ebay asap. I wouldn't even know where to go to report something on there but there must be a place. You know, I've seen some beautiful pictures even here on YT and I've often thought that it probably would be in all of our best interest to watermark all of our photos we put on the net. How easily someone who's selling a 'fictional' yorkie could steal one of our pictures and use it to rip someone off. Anyway, didn't mean to digress...I truly hope that you get justice. It sickens me to see your artwork stolen like this. |
Here is one of her listings with chloes picture: http://cgi.ebay.com/Stretch-Knit-Fri...QQcmdZViewItem She has many of my pictures used in the middle of her listings too, not just as the thumbnails. Pretty much any product that I sell that she sells she has stolen my picture. |

This is where I am tryign to report her but I cant seem to find the right category. |
ARe you going to contact her personally too? I want to tell her off for you! LOL |
that is ... despicable |

I contacted her and told her to remove my pictures becasue she did not have permission to use them and I explained to her how hard I work to take and edit my own photos and then I said she has 24 hours to remove all my pictures before I contact ebay (but this was before I saw her using so many of mine, so I no longer want to wait 24 hours becuase I got more and more livid with each photo I saw). And Each time I see a new picture of mine I contact her on that listings and say "another one of my pictures" |

Shana, I don't have any input about getting in contact with someone from ebay but rather than putting a watermark on ALL of you pics (since you have so many on your website) have you thougt about disabling the right click feature on your website? Then people won't be able to readily take your pictures.... |

I just dont understand who she thinks she is that she actually watermarked my pics. Thats the worst part. I wouldnt have been so mad if it werent for that!! Well Im working on watermarking all my pics right now and Im sure I will be up all night long. This is somethign I should have done a long time ago:( |

I would love to be able to do this but I have NO clue how to do that. Does anyone know? |

I did that on my website so no one could steal my logo--not that it would be in high demand LOL--but I spent A LOT of time designing it and there are SO many people out there who steal other people's ideas rather than taking the time to do things themselves... |
If anyone can tell me how to disable the right click feature I will gladly give you a gift certificate to my website! If anyone knows how I can do this it would save me soooo much time, its goign to take me days to watermark pictures. |

In your html document, typically near the top, find the </HEAD> tag and paste the following script/code in just before the </HEAD> tag: <script language="JavaScript"> <!-- <!-- //Disable right mouse click Script //By Maximus (maximus@nsimail.com) w/ mods by DynamicDrive //For full source code, visit http://www.dynamicdrive.com var message="For permission to use or copy images please contact Tinkerbell's Closet"; /////////////////////////////////// function clickIE4(){ if (event.button==2){ alert(message); return false; } } function clickNS4(e){ if (document.layers||document.getElementById&&!docume nt.all){ if (e.which==2||e.which==3){ alert(message); return false; } } } if (document.layers){ document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN); document.onmousedown=clickNS4; } else if (document.all&&!document.getElementById){ document.onmousedown=clickIE4; } document.oncontextmenu=new Function("alert(message);return false") // --> </script> |
That's horrible Shana! I found this by searching on google. I don't know if it will work or not. http://www.hypergurl.com/norightclick.html |
