Goodness, that must have been a shocker . . .hope you can get ebay's attention regarding this issue. |
Someone can still take your pics even if you disable right click. All you have to do is drop and drag. |

From looking at your code, do you use www.helponclick.com to host your site? If so, you should contact their technical support, explain the situation and that you have a script to disable right click and hopefully remedy this problem, copy the code into a word document and ask them how you can copy and paste this code into the template so it will work. |

help on click is just my live chat company. I use easystorecreator as my webhost and I have already put in a request with them, hopefully they will be able to help me figure this out by tommorrow. Im still watermarkign as many pictures as I can right now, just for extra protection. Im not taking any chances, I dont want this to ever happen again. |

I still havent figured out how to contact ebay:( |
If you sing in on ebay, scroll right down to Security & Resolution Center - then you'll see all the "Report another problem" ... maybe that works? I would NOT give her 24 hours to remove the pics, you are too nice! Good luck. :) |

they can still copy it if they really want it... You save it to you desk top (the whole page) and you can copy it off.. Or you can just hit Ctrl-c And it dose the same thing... watermarks would be the best way to go. |

I remember a breeder stole a picture of someones yorkie and used them to sell her own puppies- The girl who's yorkie it was came across the site and posted about it & it DID get removed. The breeder apologised claiming it was an 'accident' - but these people know exactly what they're doing. you can write EBAY and write those sellers and tell them they MUST TAKE them off the site or you'll be taking further action - you have your own copyrights to those pictures and by law - they cannot just TAKE THEM !! |
oh and Shana - for some firepower - why not give us the ebay members names - we can BOMBARD them with complaints about seeing YOUR dogs on Ebay - that would get their attention QUICK :D :D *that's pretty much how we got that breeders/brokers (not sure which) attention in the above post* |

That would really piss me off too! Please let us know what ebay says once you contact them. |
That would really piss me off too! Please let us know what ebay says once you contact them. I've a right mind to order something from her, and then leave really nasty feedback stating what she's done for EVERYONE to read! |
Shana - I'm so sorry this has happened to you!! I would be furious as well! Have you heard back from her yet on removing your pictures? I agree with others - share her email and let us bombard her - hell hath no fury as a YT member scorned (had to change the wording) - we look out for each other and it ain't no skin off my back to give her a piece of my mind as well!! |
I use a free website(with template) but on there you go to edit, then page effects and it has the option of disabling the right click. Good luck :) |
Shana, I know it may take awhile, but I think the best thing for you to do would just be to watermark all of your pictures. Even if you disable the right click feature, someone can still highlight then click "Ctrl+C" to copy your pictures. I'm so sorry this happened. I'm sending this lady a message on ebay right now telling her how I feel about her stealing pictures!!   |
OMG, the nerve of some people!!!!! Have been able to contact ebay regarding people using you pictures without you knowledge? |
OMG this is awful! :thumbdown I'm so sorry. Please leet us know what e-bay says once you contact them! |
I think disabling right-clicking is kind of pointless since there are ways to get around it if someone really wanted to. I'd go with watermarks if I was you. |
OMG that is terrible, and that is so not cool for anyone to do that, i dont blame you at all for being Mad !!! you have every right, I hope you get this worked out . |
i'm so sorry this happens but like V said they will steal anything not nailed down people are lazy and these days they have no respect i agree with doing the watermark as well because it just take a few steps more to take the pics with the right click disabled and trust me they will still do it. Keep trying to contact ebay and stay on them this is against the law the people who do this stuff are down right dumb i swear please keep us updated and good luck |
Well I was up until about 5 am last night trying to watermark as many of my images for my website as possible (I only got done with like 50 pics so I have hundreds and hundreds more to go:( ) and I also did manage to finally find a way to report her to ebay. Wether they do anythign about it fast enough I doubt it. I demanded that all the listings containing my pictures be removed immediately but I have had no response from them yet. Maybe Im overreacting a little bit but the more pictures I saw her use the more and more mad I got and I still am. She still has not responded or removed any of my pictures either. Im livid! She has used about a dozen of my pictures but she has them listed in probobly close to 100-200 of her listings. She even says in here listings at the bottom "2006 Pinky luxury All rights reserved" so she acts like SHE has copyrighted MY PICTURES! PLus she watermarked them  In my business you either take your own photos like I try to do, or you use the manufacturers photos that they provide. But whenever possible I prefer to take my own pics to make my website more unique as there are thousands of dog boutiques out there selling the same stuff using the same picture and that just bores me. PLus the manufacturers pictures just dont do justice to the products alot of the time. So if I can take a picture of the products on one of my dogs it helps show what the outift would actually look like on a dog. So this is what I do for a living 80 hours a week and I take it VERY seriously so maybe Im overreacting but I feel so violated having someone steal my pictures and watermark them in HUGE letters with THIER store name. I had a few other people using just 1 or 2 of my pictures on ebay and I kindly asked them to remove them and they already did but I guess I just dont feel like being nice or patient with this **pinkyluxury** ebay store. You know what else? They dont even have a dog! Thier listings say that everythign comes from a pet-free smoke-free home. I know this isnt important but I just dont even think they should be in the business, that or Im sure they are lying about the pet-free home. I have never heard of anyone in the pet industry business not have a pet :thumbdown  OKay I have vented, and I really need to move on so I can get stuff done around here :) Thanks everyone for backing me up and listening to me rant  |
one good thing has come out of this so far- Ive been needing to resize my pictures on my website so they will upload faster but I havent had time to do this and so now that Im having to watermark my pictures Im also resizing them. YAY! So my website should run a lot faster when Im done  |
we are here for you girl i wish there was some way for me to help you watermark your pics how do you do it? if it's something i can help with let me know and i will do it |

Once everything is taken care of, Ebay can revoke her power seller status. So what goes around comes around. |
Girl, go ahead a vent all you want. |
