| How is Halloween Celebrated in your city Where I live, Halloween is celebrated on the 31st, the kids go door to door trick or treating between 4 and 8. I was watching a TV show that takes place in a big city and the people were trick or treating all day long. I'm not sure if they didn't have school, or if the show was not too realistic. Then my daughter told me where she lives the kids trick or treat the last Sunday of October, so they are out today. |

| We trick or treat on the 31st too. From about 6:30 until 8. My kids get tired after an hour but kids come to the door as late as 8.

| We celebrate on the 31st also......we still do have the traditional door to door trick or treating, but our town has come up with a wonder and fun Halloween tradition. We have a 'town square' and every Oct. 31st, around 5pm, we shut off the square from any thru traffic, put a live band in the middle of the square and have a celebration!! All of the stores located on the square and the surrounding area set up booths with candy and decorations...most in costume. Most of the town comes dressed up and ready to celebrate. A huge line forms around the entire square for those who want to 'trick or treat' and for those who don't, stand around and listen to music and conversate! We absolutely love this tradition....it is safer than the 'door to door' and gives the adult something to do also. Beings that we live a couple of blocks from the square, we get dressed up and walk to the square, letting the kids 'trick or treat' at houses on the way......they really love the atmosphere and we have such a wonderful time! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | We trick or treat on Halloween. We usually go out anytime from 3-4:30. The curfew is 9, but if you're with an adult you can stay out later. It's HUGE here and everyone goes all out. I was talking to my friend who lives in Ohio and in Cleveland they trick or treat on the 29th.

| We trick or treat on the 31st. Usually 6-9 or ?(whenever kids stop coming). Then we go to a big tent at a local church where they have free cotton candy, ice cream and tons of games, jupiter jump and of course more candy. My oldest is to big for it now, but my 10 year old takes some friends and has a ball. My sons school also has a Halloween party on the 31st during school for a couple of hours and they wear costumes and parade through the school so everyone can see them. Us parents take snacks and treats and chaperone. Our whole family has gone to a Halloween costume party a friend of mine has the past 3 years, she had to cancel this year. It is a great time for us adults to act like kids. They even decorate their back yard like a haunted trail and pull the kids around through it in a hay ride, The older kids and some adults are participants in scaring the kids on the trail. I am going to miss that this year.

| Due to all the crazeeness in this world...our small community has a fall fest at church and there are seldom trick or treaters door to door. We have trunk or treat in the parking area at church so the kids can go from car to car of people they know and the parents trust. We also serve hotdogs and soup, have a costume contest, games, pictures and fellowship. Anyhow, everyone have a fun safe Halloween however and wherever you are! Teri

I'd say if you don't want your kid to participate, then pick them up at noon, so the rest of us can party. Or we can send your child to sit in the library. | |
