| hurt I had surgury on my wrist on Tuesday and my husband didn't even come home for it. I have to go back to the doctor today to get the bandages changed. I called my husband and he said he'd be home tonight but wasn't coming home to take me to the doctor. I am very hurt by his decision to work in this time of need. We have enough money to get by so it isn't like he needs to work for the money. I am trying to take care of 4 kids and the pain is so unbearable. I do have pain meds but I can't take them while the kids are up and about because they totally knock me out. I'm just really sad and depressed right now. Thanks for letting me voice it on here.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh man - you can't drive with your wrist just operated on !! Doesn't he realize that ??? I had mine operated on about 6 years ago and it was really hard to drive.... Poor thing - I hope your husband realises that you NEED him right now - any surgery is risky - how would he have felt if something went wrong and he wasn't there ? Can you get a babysitter to help you for a few days ? |

| All 4 of the kids are mine and my husband has never had kids before. He doesn't understand what it takes to deal with them everyday day in and day out. When I called and told him about the surgury he just said that I'd be fine because he wasn't raising those kids by himself. I told him he wouldn't have to my ex-husbands would come and get them. My sister was kind enough to take me to the hospital and pick me up from the hospital when I had the surgury but she has 5 kids and with my 4 that makes 9 and they are all out of school the rest of the week. She can't take me to the docotor since she doesn't have a vehicle with enough seat belts for everyone. I am going to attempt to drive today. I haven't taken any of the pain meds so I think I should be ok.

| Your husband is supposed to be there for you in your times of need. does he remember those vows he took at all? to be there "in sickness and in health" well now you are in a time of need that would be conisdered within those vows. I'd give him one good swift reality check. I'm sorry

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh kitty...can you take a cab and get your sister to watch the kids ? I think you probably COULD drive (cause I would in a pinch too) ....but I would say don't do it ...it's too soon... You sure have your hands full - it's great your husband took on 4 of someone elses kids - but man - he can't just watch them for a few days to take all this pressure off you ?? That's sad for you - if I lived close by.... you can bet I'd be happy to drive you.....I'm the Taxi service for my whole family |

| I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. Its sucks that your hubby is not there. Even though these are not his kids he should be able to help you out with them. He needs to understand that when he married you you weren't alone. I have 2 boys from a previous relationship and my fiancee now treats them like their his. He does everything with them. I was in a relationship before and this person gave me the impression that he wanted to be with me and not the kids....that was the last time I saw him. My kids are always going to be here...men can come and go. JMO - If no one can treat my kids like they treat me than they do not need to be in my life. I'm sorry to sound harsh but it is what it is. Please don't take this the wrong way and I hope you start feeling better soon. |

| Yes, I understand about being a taxi service. lol I am running mom's taxi service. My oldest 2 boys have scouts, football, basketball, baseball in the summer. My youngest son has arts/crafts classes and my daughter has ballet, tap, arts/crafts, t-ball in the summer. Not to mention all their friends and school carnival (which was Tuesday night and we walked to since I couldn't drive.) The town I live in doesn't have a taxi service so I don't think that would work.

| I am so sorry your going through this. Men sometimes they just dont think. I think you should take a cab also to be on the safe side. Do you have anyone else that could help you with the kids? If I was there I would be right over to help you out. |

| The only family I have near me is my sister. I don't have any friends since I've moved here. My sister would help me out but she has 5 kids of her own out of school and so 9 is a little much and she's trying to pack to move. There aren't any taxi here in this town. Thank you all for the kind words and offerings to help. I really appreciate all of you.
