Found this list on the Internet. It is a list of foods that are known to cause acid reflux. Do you eat a lot of any of these?

• Orange juice
• Lemon
• Lemonade
• Grapefruit juice
• Cranberry juice
• Tomato
• Mashed potatoes
• French fries
• Onion, raw
• Ground beef, chuck
• Marbled sirloin
• Chicken nuggets
• Buffalo wings
• Sour cream
• Milk shake
• Ice cream
• Cottage cheese, regular
• Macaroni and cheese
• Spaghetti with sauce
• Liquor
• Wine
• Coffee, decaffeinated or regular
• Tea, decaffeinated or regular
• Salad dressing, creamy

Darn it, half of my diet is in there

How am I supposed to eat my salad without dressing, and tea with my toast, and spaghetti without the meatballs

I took them for a couple of months and now I only take them when I know I'm going to eat something like bloom'n onions, really spciy chili or anything that is really spicey. I'm suppose to take one every day, but since I found out what causes it, I just take them when I know I'm eating something that will cause it.

No, just take a Nexium once a day! Taking medicine isn't bad at all if it makes you feel better. My doctor said that Nexium is VERY good for you because not only does it cure your acid reflux, but it also heals erosions in your esopogus. He told me that he NEVER wanted me to stop taking it because it was just so good.

I don't eat a lot of tomatoe sauce, infact I just have pasta once a week and I have tomatoe slices on my sandwiches but not a whole lot. Maybe it's a combination of foods, who knows. I will definetely discuss acid reflux with my doctor.

She's right. You can eat what you want as long as you take the Nexium. Oh, I have a few signs for ya...if you don't eat for a while or take a nap in the middle of the day, do you have a bad acidy taste in your mouth? That happens to me if I forget to take my Nexium. Do your burps sometimes "come up?" If so, you may have GERD. I sound like a DR. LOL

Oh, and I'm with you... I HATE throwing up. I used to cry every time I got sick because it is so miserable. I don't get sick often but when I am, I am such a baby about it.

USED to cry??? I STILL cry everytime I throw up..lol..Except now, instead of my parents coming to comfort me, it's Coco mo..lol..I still can't believe I ever had bulemia, knowing how much I hate throwing up

Oh well. Yea I gotta go get some tests done next week to make sure this is what it is.

Hey Nobella...

I don't know if this will help or not.. But I sort of had something simmilar to what you are talking about for a few months, except I also got dizzy and would pass out.. After going to the emergency room and two other doctors.. It turned out that it was my liver.. and it was basically being caused by drinking alcohol and mixing tylenol (acetamenophene).

I totally just made my self sound like an alcoholic drug addict. LoL.. but seriously, I never drank that much, but I have cronic headaches.. so I started randomly throwing up, and feeling like s**t.. It took 3 doctors to figure out that it had to do with my liver... Even though they had checked my blood and everything, they just weren't looking in the right place.

I don't know if this helps?

Let this serve as a warning to anyone who takes Tylenol. It is VERY bad for your liver. NEVER NEVER take Tylenol for a headache when your hungover. Your liver is already shot from drinking, and it multiplies the effect if you take Tylenol. Take Advil, please! And NEVER take more than the recommended amount of Tylenol. This, too, is VERY damaging to the liver.
