BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | just found out some bad news I dont know if you all remember awhile back when I told you the situation about my neice and nephew who live with my husbands parents, there mom lives in OK City and is hooked on drugs so she does not want anything to do with these 2 kids (8 and 5) well my husband just talked to his mom and the little boy (5) was taken to the hospital because he drowned, they were able to resisatate (sp) him and will be keeping him in the hospital for a couple nights. I'm so shoken up over this, these kids have lead such a bad life and I feel so bad. I have tried to talk to my husband about taking them, but we are not in any situation right now to be able to take them. I just dont know what to do, my heart goes out to them right now. we will be going up to the hospital tomorrow to see him and I will let you all know how he is doing. please say a little prayer for him. Hugs Missy |

| Wow!! I'm so sorry to hear that. BUT...I am HAPPY to hear that they were able to revive him. Hooray for CPR! !!!!! Did your parents administer CPR, or the EMTs? I'm praying he will be well soon!

Sad thing is we didnt even get a call, my hubby found out cause he called his mom to see if I could come pick up the kids tomorrow and she told him they were at the hospital. We will find out more info tomorrow. I'm just so glad he is ok, he is 5 and he thinks he is 15, he has had to grow up so fast, there was no time to be a little boy and he thinks he is super boy, but he is just a kid and he needs SUPERVISION! and he dont get it being with his grandparents. It's such a messed up situation and I just dont know how to convince my husband that they need to be somewhere else.

| That is a horrible situation that they're in. Thank god that little boy is okay. DCFS might look into it though... I think that at least if you picked up the kids once in a while and gave them a taste of childhood for at least a couple times a week it would be better than nothing. If you didn't know, there are ways where you can become their foster parents even though you're family. My friend and both of her sisters were fostered by their grandparents who recieved monetary help from the state, their father died and their mother and her boyfriend had problems. Maybe it's something to look into if you feel like it's a monetary issue. I'm so glad that he was saved. God must have been looking after him. Anyways, the kids sound very lucky to have at least 2 stable adults in their lives, their Aunt and Uncle. |

we have a 3 bedroom house and we have 3 kids of are own, so 2 more would make a pretty big family and where are they suppose to sleep? It's all so confusing and I just dont know what to do. But your right, CPS really needs to be called, but how can I do that to my husband?

| Wow Missy I just seen his. I hope everything is ok with him. I know you want to help these little kids out cause that is the person you are. I think that is great but if its something that will be hurting your own family.... Really think about it. I know that last time you tried helping out someone, you got the bad end of the stick. I have a pool and when kids are around water you cant take your eyes off of them for one minutes. We keep our pool locked when we are not using it. I have a friend who got a pool like ours and built a deck like ours. I told her she needed to build a gate and keep it locked... Of course she didnt listen. She is even a nurse. I'll be talking to her on the phone and she will be yelling for her two year old, then say....oh my gosh, jaycee is getting in the pool with Ashlyn (her 12 yr old) Well last week she told me they were going out to the pool and she had to go back inside to get goggles. When she came out Jaycee was laying at the bottom of the pool. She is ok.... but she got lucky. I cant understand why people dont watch kids around water better. I hope all goes well. And I hope anyone who has a pool or going swimming will keep this in mind. it only takes a few seconds... and your life could change forever. Missy I hope all goes well. |
