| Donating YT 14K Club Member | GREAT thread! As far as personal attacks, maybe I'm just not on the computer as much as I use to be but I seem to miss those completely. That's probably a good thing. But, with that said, this forum has over 11,000 members. Everyone has different personalities and come from different back grounds. But the one thing that everyone must remember is that this is just a computer. You cannot read a person's face to know if their tone of words are serious, or if they are just playing around. I can tell someone to kiss my *** but if you can't see my face, you don't know how to take me...am I making sense?

| That is what I was saying, a select few are good at showing the emotion of their posts. Red98Vett is probably the best that I have seen say something jokingly and it is taken as a joke and you can also tell when she is being as serious as a drill sergeant. I am a very outspoken, smart-mouthed individual and if you don't know me you will think that I have absolutely no home training! That is just my personality. But when writing on this forum I am careful to choose my words more carefully because like you said I can say kiss my but jokingly to you but you may think, Oh No She Didn't give me her behind to kiss and thus, The Cilvil War begins.

| I am glad that someone has finally decided to say something about some of the interruptions of posts and negative things that are said. Yes, we are all different (raised differently, different beliefs, etc), but commons sense and respect should take over before some people interrupt helpful posts or make some smart a$$ comment about something.....that is just not needed. I have often wondered if spending the $20 on membership to YT was a waste of money and my time. So often, I have started reading what seemed like a very helpful and informative post, and it is either overtaken by some sort of B.S. about nothing regarding that topic or someone replies to a simple and honest question with some rude remark. Aren't we all grown, mature and responsible adults on here? (with the exception of a few) Let's stick to spreading our love for Yorkies and helping those that do have concerns or questions!

| I think there are alot of personalities on here and your gonna get alot of opinions and they are not always shared by everyone or the recipient. This forum is alot better than it used to be. I have been here before Fasteddie enforced the no personal attacks policy on here and it was alot worse then. People especially new people were attacked all the time.

| I agree with people should watch what they say about others...expecially those they DO NOT know personally. Some on here just jump and open their mouths without knowing for sure what they are talking about. I have been on this site a while and for the most I really enjoy it here but there are times when I think about leaving because of some of the rude ones here. I had a good friend attached on here towards the last part of last year I think it was and you know what the ones slamming her have no clue what they are even talking about. You just have to consider the sourse I guess. Some have said it's better to not know what's going on and I do agree to a point as I don't know what situation your talking about, but just consider they are just jealous people who open their big mouths without thinking or knowing. |

| It is sad that people are getting their feelings hurt by a small minority. The magic word is minority. I took a vacation from YT because of some of the things being said. At times we all seem to go off and not take a breath of fresh air to stop and look and listen to what is being said. We tend to jump in with both feet and the fight is on. Do I have clean hands no- I got caught up in some of the ugliness also in the past. Will I be party to it again no. It was childish and uncalled for. Some folks are just know it alls. No matter what the subject they will know all the answers and have advice for you right or wrong. Some are very good at bluffing- wonder if they play poker? When things get heated and you are being bated- it is hard but you have to walk away. Nothing that you say will get those people to stop. PM that person who is being attacked and let them know that you support them. Just let the thread drop. When you do not respond when someone has posted- you make it quite clear that this person is being avoided. That person may try and change their attitude because of the positive reinforcement. Yt should not be a forum of groups competing against each other. Yt was formed as a fun and informative place for those who love the breed to meet and interact. |

| Anytime you get a group of people together, there can be misunderstandings. People have strong opinions on numerous topics and they feel that they can share them with the people on YT. There have been a few times on here where people have irritated me and I thought they were being rude. However, more often than not I just chalk it up to a difference of opinion. I have thought about taking a break from YT before, but then I think about why I am here. Livingdustmops, Villette, Kimberely(TxShopper73?) I felt personally attacked once, but I received the sweetest pm from Livingdustmops reminding me that I am here because I love my yorkie. There are many knowledgeable people on here and I have been touched on more than one occasion by the support of the YT members. For example, when Courtney had a difficult decision to make, many YT members responded with their support. There are many different personalities on here, but thats what makes it great. I enjoy listening to other peoples opinions. I don't have to agree or disagree.
