| Cant Sleep..cant stop thinking... about whether or not to try to pursue this business. I absolutely love sewing dresses for my sweet tiffany... there are just so many sites out there already. I have been wanting to start a business like this for a really long time... I am a stay at home mom and i dont feel like I contribute anything to the family... or that i am accomplishing anything.. This has been a dream of mine for a while and now that i am so close i am scared to death! I have the site almost finished... im just nervous that i wont be good enough.. (i must get more emotional the later it gets)

| Try etsy.com its a site where you can sell your home made items for a small fee. A lot of crafty type people use it to start out selling there items. I think it only costs something like $0.25 to list an item so your outlay is small. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=14314 is the link to my store so you can see how it works. |

| Hey...you could use a pep talk! I think you'll do great with your doggie dress business! Yes...there ARE a lot of other sites out there and a lot of competition, but there are ALSO a whole lot of buyers! It may be slow at first, but it just takes time for people to find you and the word to get out. Being on YT will help you also! Don't think that you won't be good enough! Think..."I can do this!" I think we all have those insecurities when starting a new venture, but don't let that stop you! I wish you great success with your new business and am looking forward to seeing your site!

| Kristi - GO FOR IT! Approach it like a business, not a hobby, but have fun doing it. I've been in the business world for almost 40 years, had an accounting practice for over 15 years. The most successful startup businesses that I've seen have all been started by people who started doing for money what they had already been been doing for the joy of doing it. Don't worry about competition. Don't ignore it, but don't worry, either. Keep an eye on the competition and learn from them - both what they do well and what they mess up on. Quality rises to the top. If you produce a quality product and can get the word out (okay, YTers, if you've seen or bought Kristi's dresses, let people know - and not just on YT), you'll get the sales volume. Then you just have to know that you have pricing, etc. set up right so that you can actually be making money, not just selling dresses. As I said at the beginning, just do it in a businesslike fashion. Fortunately, there are opportunities for you to start out as small as you need to, grow as big as you are able, and do it all while staying home with your family. Best of luck - and let us all know how to find your dresses! |

| Another thing, Kristi - Patti is absolutely right! There is no amount of financial contribution to a family that can match the love and the time that they receive from a full-time Mom. I'm of an age where the majority of my contemporaries had full-time Moms. My daughters were blessed to have a Mom who was always there. I know times are changing. My heart breaks for single Moms, for whom every day is a struggle to balance the material needs of their household, the emotional needs of their children, and their own needs for personal or professional fulfillment. Even in two-parent households, the financial pressures these days to bring in another income are enormous. So, if you can get this enterprise off the ground to contribute to whatever financial and emotional needs you have - while staying at home to care for your family - I can only say God Bless You. It will certainly be tough at times. Just caring for a family is tough enough, but you sound like the kind of lady that will take on what you have to. You will be in my prayers |

| You’re a stay at home Mom and you don’t think you contribute anything to your family!? You have contributed your whole being, selflessly, for your family, I can’t think of a bigger contribution. Seriously. But about the business, I admire your ambition and I hope you make a go of it. Goodness knows the small dog clothing business is growing like crazy. You might as well jump on it while it’s hot. Just don’t be one of those retailers who thinks their target customer is some little old lady sewing booties. We don’t want any more knit sweaters for our dogs. We are young and hot and want our dog’s clothes to reflect our keen eye for fashion. Lol. But I’m sure you already know that. Good luck!

| I wish I had your job - a stay home mom is a n absolute dream of mine . . . and still is. The beauty of having an online business is that you can attend to it whenever and since you do stay home, it is easier for you to monitor incoming orders. . . .there may be quite a few of us here (I actually just started a month ago) but there is always room for more . . . so I say GO FOR IT. And you can't get better customers anywhere else . . YT members are great! |

| Thank you Thanks everyone for your kind words. I honestly mean that from the bottom of my heart. I needed to hear that so much! I am constantly being told (by my family) that it wont work. So i am so happy to hear what you all think. I feel like you ARE my other family. Thank you again. You really dont know how much it means to me. Even though we have never met, I love you all... you are all wonderful people!
