I feel your frustration.

This is what happened to my daughter. Her birthdfay was May 8. She called me all upset becauxe hubby had not even said Happy Birthday. So I called him at his work, and aked him if he had forgotten. He said NO. I said well your wife is upset because she thinks you did, but maybe you are planning a surprise. He says Yup I've got it covered.

This was the perfect time for him to cover his Butt. but NO

Mr Cluless, calls my daughter, and says "your mom just called, she thinks I forgot your birthdfay.". She says well you never said Happy Birthday,. He says well I thought you Knew???


He could have gotten home and said Where are the flowers I sent. I ordered flowers. Man now I'm PO'd, they better not have charged me for them. LOL

I think men "get it"... ya' know... right around the time of their birthdays when they want a whole big to-do put on for themselves!

Happy birthday, girl! You do what you want to for the day and let your boys fend for themselves. If they don't want to do dinner out, take your best girlfriend out for a nice meal... on hubby!

I so totally know what you mean!! But do what I did. My birthday was coming up, I so wanted a newer car, but I have wanted one from before Christmas, and the hubby never did anything about it. I really needed a new car, mine had 168,000 miles on it and was 16 years old (not that I was complaining!! LOL) Well anyway I found this car and I told my husband that I really wanted it IF we could afford it. He just kept saying things like if you really want it, maybe we should look around, and so on. On my birthday I went out and picked up the car!! WHen I told him he was surprise, but didn't say much. You know he never bought me anything, not even a card!! SO I'm so glad I went out and bought the darn car myself!!

lol well I dont think i'll be buying myself a new car...we're not even going out to dinner. He did't get a check he was owed today and we're kinda tight, so we're staying in.

He did bring home an ice cream cake (with a big 32 on it, thanks hun, REMIND me why Im in a BAD mood!)But it was a nice gesture.
