| I bring the cat to the groomer because her fur is much more messy than the dog's and she doesn't take baths as well. She claws me and afterward she runs for me and hides under the bed for 3 days. The owner wasn't as apologetic today. She told me that the timecards said 615 when the girls punched out. I don't understand it because I was there at 610 and there were no cars. She had said to come after 6. The lady had said that there might have been a misunderstanding. Maybe they lied or my car clock is off, I don't know. But to me it's wrong to lock my cat up in a building like that. I told her that I thought it was really unprofessional of the lady to call me a lier, esspecially infront of my son. I told her that I was a supervisor in the Navy for 5 years in customer service and that is not how a customer is to be treated. All she said is that she wasn't there and wouldn't know what was said. I told the owner that I think the lady was trying to steal from her company because she wanted cash only and the $25 service fee when before there was no problem with a check. The owner said that it was really costly to keep the store open and to send the girl there (even though the girl said she wasn't getting paid for it). The owner kept making excuses for them saying that everything was put away. I have no idea why that makes a difference between a check or cash. I honestly feel like in a way my cat was held for ransom last night. That lady could have said any amount of money just because she knew I had to have her back. She tried to take advantage of me. I really hope this never happens to anyone else, because I'm still in tears. I will however use my freedom of speech and tell anyone DO NOT DEAL WITH THE LA MESA PET HOTEL/GROOMING |

| I would be curious to see if they had anything posted on the wall or door of the place saying that they close at 6 sharp and what happens to animals not picked up at that time. And if I were you, and I did not feel that the situation was resolved to my satisfaction, I would go to the local television station and speak to a reporter. Tell them your story and they may see fit to run a piece on it...that would get the word out to a lot of people. You never know. I mean, what if that had been a 1 or 2 pound tiny Yorkie and they had put her up with the wrong food or NO food. A potential disaster is waiting to happen with those people and they way they practice business. I am glad it all turned out good in your case tho...really glad.

| I can't imagine any groomer NOT CALLING before they closed up for the night. What they did is ridiculous!!! I would definitely call the Better Business Bureau or the local Chamber of Commerce and discuss the situation with them. I, personally, would not let this rest until I received some better form of apology from these people. Technically, they did hold your pet ransoom....and for her to charge you for the work done after all the stress that you've been through...it's just horrible. Obviously she doesn't care for animals at all....being as she put your cat in a crate and was ok with leaving her there for the night. I'm so sorry you (and your poor cat!) had to go through this situation...this lady should NOT be in business! |

| All the signs on the outside talk about the dog boarding and dog day care. It actually doesn't say grooming anywhere on the signs outside. It says things like animals can not be picked up on Sunday and pick up hours are from 8-12 and 3-6. Since she had told me to come after 6, I thought that the sign was for the pet hotel and not the grooming buisness esspecially since they said there was someone there 24 hours. I had brought my yorkie there before and the man didn't give me any problems and told me exactly what time to pick my yorkie up. |

| You shoulda pop knotted the twit!!! Stupid woman. I'm sorry for your ordeal. I'm glad you got your kitty sooner then later though. Hopefully you can find a more pet friendly groomer for future grooms.
