I agree. I will do ANYTHING to avoid using a public restroom. I’ll drive all the way home if I have to. I think with me it’s more of a sanitary thing than a fear of getting attacked in there though.

One time I was in Target and I had a cart full of stuff and had to go REALLY bad – there was no way around using their restroom. So I go in, put down all the sanitary shields on the toilet and go. There was no way I was going to touch the switch to flush, so I stand on one leg and put my foot up there to flush and promptly drop my flip flop into the toilet. Ugh!

Im also scared to death of public speaking or talking to a crowd of people I dont know. I had to do a toast at my best friends wedding (which by the way she told me she wasnt going to have me do a toast but the wedding coordiantor made me do one and literally gave me 2 minutes notice) and I thought I was goign to die. I get all red, blotchy and itchy when I am in a situation like this. I think I am actually allergic to public speaking!

I have the same phobia as you do. I hate spiders, can't look at them or anything. The creepest thing is their eyes, eeeeeeekk!!!!!!!!! My grandmother and my mother are the same way, I guess it runs in the family... I can't kill a spider or any creature for that matter, it is just how I am, I would feel so guilty for taking a life even a spider. Luckily my cats will take care of that. If they see a spider they will kill it and eat it, grroooosss!!! but hey as long as I don't have to deal with it, it is fine for me. That is probally the main reason why I have cats, they get rid of all the bugs and spiders. I am also afraid of hights. I hate those tall buildings that have those huge windows that make up a wall. I can't go by the window because one I don't want to see how high up I am and two I am paranoid about the fact that glass is the only there and it would be so easy to break and fall out. :0

OHMYGOSH! I just remembered that when we were living in Wichita Falls, I saw a spider by our fire place. Anyway, upon inspection of this unnatural creature, I noticed that it had these weird tiny little bumps all over it's backside. Yup...you got it...a bajillion little babies!!!! I ran to the kitchen to find some bug spray...NONE!!!! So, I grabbed what I felt would kill those little nasty things...EASY OFF OVEN SPRAY! Yes, it worked. Sprayed momma and babies were running EVERYWHERE!

Any kind of bug but the ones that fly really freak me out. Hights, We painted our living room and we have cathedral ceilings in our front room and I could not start walls that were too high because I CAN NOT climb a ladder. So I had my husband do all high walls. The funny thing about that is he's afraid of hights as well. He will climb the ladder if he has to but he has this petrified look on his face and you can just tell he's hating it being up there. I am also claustrophobia big time! My cousins used to mess around and put a blanket over my head (not to where I can't breath or anything like that) and I would panic big time. I can't even sleep on the bottom of bunk beds. I don't handle elevators well either. But will use them if the roomy inside.

JUNE BUGS! - the metallic greenish looking ones lol.. i think that's what theyre called LOL..

they freak me OUT! not fun when they get stuck in your hair and will not let go of yoU!

Here's a story for ya! I was living in a cabin behind my mom's house...full lake view, everything. ANYWAY, I was EXTREMELY hung over one Saturday morning and had to go into the bathroom. There I was sitting on the pot, taking care of business and all of a sudden, I see the shower curtain move. Out from under the shower cutain comes this snake!

I jumped up off the the pot, didn't even pull my clothes up and ran outta there! Went and got the bb gun and must have shot that thing 20 times. I calmly shut the door. It wasn't till hours later when my boyfriend showed up and he was asking about it. I opened the door and he was shocked that I had left it in there! YEAH, RIGHT! Like I was going to touch it! NOT!!!!!

It was about 3 foot long and was a corn snake or something like that!

<g> I never had a problem with claustrophobia until I got pregnant with my one and only daughter. I had hopes that when my hormones settled, the malady would leave. But, though it has lessened, I still shy away from elevators carrying more than a couple of people, and I will NOT wear shoes unless I absolutely have to.

Too funny!!! And yes, I have to say snakes are my weakness too. I'm secure enough with my masculinity to say this... if I see a snake, I drop whatever I'm holding and RUN AWAY like a little girl!! I usually don't scream but have been known to let a few expletives fly!! Once I was looking for my golf ball in some high grass and saw a snake and dropped my club and ran away and my golfing buddy had to go get my club for me ( I was just going to leave it there and buy a new one), and yes, I've NEVER heard the end of that one!

And those GIANT cockroaches don't sit too well with me either!

Ah I see!! I did read back in the thread to try and figure out what you were talking about but I didn't read back far enough!!

Okay, I'll buy that, I prefer not to wear shoes too!! BUt my watch is hardly ever off my wrist, I even sleep with it on which is pretty weird I've been told.
