| I got married 31 years ago this month. You got yellow, pink, pale blue, mint green, or apricot if you were really wild and crazy. Or a hippy wedding and then you got whatever anybody happened to have on that day. I had yellow. |

| My aunt had rainbow colored little bow peep dresses in the early 70s - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple! LMAO. They even had matching hats. It was incredibly awful! My mom didn't even want to stand up when she saw what her sis had picked out.

| We had dark forest green bridesmaid dresses & the flowers were orange & yellow. And believe it or not ALL of my bridesmaids wore their dresses for other occasions after the wedding. The main dress was a close fitting knee length dress with like a dark green almost to black with a green lace over it, and then as a seperate taffeta piece was a wrap around piece that made the dress become tea length. At the reception they all took off the wrap piece & they looked like they were just wearing really pretty dresses. We were married Oct 9, 1993. Desiree |

| We were married on a beach in Hawaii and it was just me and him no bridesmaids. My sister and her boyfriend were there but the whole thing was very informal, I loved it. My friend got married last Dec. and had the bridesmaids dressed in black. It was at night. I thought it was gorgeous with the men in their black tuxs and the gals in their black dresses. I was the maid of honor and my dress had a soft pink section across the bust as well as pink embroidered flowers at bottom. The three bridesmaids' dresses were solid black. Instead of rice she wanted to do sparklers since it was at night but her mom said no and for some reason she listened. Instead she had that fake snow you get at Christmas it was really pretty too. I know you didn't ask about the last part but I thought I'd throw it in as a bonus.

| I've got a color that no one's mentioned yet..... my bridesmaids wore white! Very pretty off the shoulder, longer hem in back - this was 1990, such was the style! I had a lot of negative remarks from some people (none of them the actual bridesmaids) regarding the fact that the only person wearing white should be the bride (but most of them stopped their negativity once they saw it all together). Well, it turned out beautiful!! They carried long stem red roses tied up really pretty and my bouquet was mostly red roses. I had originally wanted a dark scarlet red but could never find anything I wanted in that color and didn't want a strawberry red. Then I saw a picture at one of the bridal places of a wedding party where the bridesmaids wore white. I loved it. It was so much easier to find the dress I wanted and order it in white. If anyone really wants to see a picture, I'll have to dig out the wedding album and scan one. White is definitely a "different" choice but it was perfect.
