I've got a color that no one's mentioned yet..... my bridesmaids wore white! Very pretty off the shoulder, longer hem in back - this was 1990, such was the style! I had a lot of negative remarks from some people (none of them the actual bridesmaids) regarding the fact that the only person wearing white should be the bride (but most of them stopped their negativity once they saw it all together). Well, it turned out beautiful!! They carried long stem red roses tied up really pretty and my bouquet was mostly red roses. I had originally wanted a dark scarlet red but could never find anything I wanted in that color and didn't want a strawberry red. Then I saw a picture at one of the bridal places of a wedding party where the bridesmaids wore white. I loved it. It was so much easier to find the dress I wanted and order it in white. If anyone really wants to see a picture, I'll have to dig out the wedding album and scan one. White is definitely a "different" choice but it was perfect.
