| picture sizing software I need to buy some software to resize pics. I went to the local computer store today, and there is a lot of photo software, but non actually say that they resize. Does anyone know if they all do? Or can someone recommend a good one? I really want to post pictures on here, and I want an avatar, and I don't even know how to do that. Can anyone help me please? Thanks so much. |

| Are you looking for software to use on pics other than here? I just use Microsoft Picture Manager, it was included in my Microsoft Works package, with Word, Excel, etc. It's really easy to resize pics using Picture Manager, and I didn't have to spend any extra money. Just a thought

| I use IfranView. I found it here (YT) - look under FAQ and then How To Post Pictures.

| If you have Windows, then you have Paint Paint is included in the Accessories file under your Start menu, and is perfectly capable of re-sizing all photos. Click "Start", "All Programs", "Accessories" and then "Paint". Choose "File", "Open", and then browse for the picture you want to resize. Once you get the picture, click on "Image" on your top tool bar, then click on "Stretch/Skew". On the "stretch" portion, if you want to reduce your photo by half, put in 50% horizontal and 50% vertical, and then click OK. There you go! Let me know how it goes for you!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | haha....Here I am ! PAINT is a great program ....but the only drawback is it saves most pics in a .bmp file....(larger than .jpeg) you want to keep your pics under the size limits and JPEGS are more compressed.....Most computers DO have a free PAINT program... This is one of the easiest program on the net to resize your pics....http://bluefive.pair.com/free95.htm Scroll to PixResizer & Download the program..it’s really small and very easy to install – Depending on the size of your image you just have to click ONE SIZE (USUALLY 50%) or 460 Pixels and it resizes it for you... You can pm me if you need help...I can step you thru it....plus...make you an avatar... If you want to try making your own animated avatar - you need an animation program for that.....I use Photo Shop Elements...but I here's a free PSP Program .....http://www.com-puterworks.com/Free_Downloads.htm

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL...Mine does...but I remember on my old Windows 98 mine didn't give me those options - I just saved the .bmp and opened and saved in a different program to get .jpegs. I love PAINT...it's a good little program...you can do more than sizeing in it...I used to make siggys for a different site and did some really pretty ones in Paint. |
