These ARE great!! When I was a kid my mom always fixed these for us for breakfast on snow days! |
Okay guys, this is so easy that it gives new meaning to the old saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." This is the best pie ever and I promise everyone that even remotely likes caramel will rave over it! Caramel Pie: 1 Pet Ritz Deep Dish Pie Crust (Bake the empty pie crust) 3 cans of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk Boil the 3 cans of Eagle Brand for 3 1/2 hours -in a pot of water on stovetop - Always keep water at least 2" over the tops of the cans!!!- (gently rolling boil) don't cover pot. Important... LET COOL before puncturing cans!!!!! I run cold water over them in the pot until they are cool. When you know that they are cool, puncture cans before putting them in the can opener. Empty contents into a mixing bowl and beat with the hand mixer for about 2 minutes. Dump contents into the pie shell and refrigerate. Enjoy! I should add that hubby thinks this is somewhat risky as the contents of these cans are under pressure, hubby cringes when I make this pie, but he is always the first one to grab a fork! LOL! |
mmmm.... So hungry now!!! I have a great spinage dip recipe but i can't find it i think my sister stole it i will look for it mind you i hate spinage but this is yummy |

Oh guish I am not done copying recipes yet but just thought you all might like to try this very easy, very rich dish. another simple one! take a can of any fruit pie filling you like. ( I make the cherry the most) pour that can into a baking dish or cake pan... spread 1/2 box of dry cake mix (plain) evenly over the filling... melt a whole stick of margarine or butter and pour over the dry cake mix...(no stirring) bake in 350 degree oven for about 1/2 hr. or until golden brown. caution: this is very rich. I love it! I love anything sweet. |
