| ![]() Chicken fried portabello mushrooms. I dip the large round flat portabello mushrooms (I take off any stem) in egg/milk and then flour and brown them on both sides in just a bit of oil. Then I put them in a covered pan or corning dish and into the oven at 300 degrees for an hour or so to steam and get real tender. We are also having fresh steamed yellow squash and turnips. My mom is baking apples with a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon. Mmmmm, I'm hungry

| ![]() I use the slow cooker quite often. We have beef roast with carrots and either add the potatoes to the slow cooker with onion or make mash potatoes and gravy. Another favorite is slow cooker beef stew. My Grandson, who lived with us, loved spaghetti with hamburger spaghetti sauce and garlic bread as a side. ![]() |

| ![]() Leftover speghetti. We never seem to finish our leftovers, so I'm forcing it down our throats. Before that My boyfriend made lasagna. Stouffers....(yeah we cheated it was frozen!) But it was sooooo good. I like making mushrooms in garlic sauce, with baked potatoes and grilled shrimp.

| ![]() One of my favorite things I make (and haven't made in forever...gotta get on that) is steamed Chilean seabass and chinese vegetables drizzled with teryaki sauce and toasted sesame seeds served over wasabi mashed potatoes. If you like asian food, this is TO DIE FOR!! It's so easy to make and soooooo good to eat. Wow, I'm hungry now.

| ![]() I fed my son chicken fingers tonight but right now Big Daddy and I are going to have a late dinner. I'm making steak with blue cheese melted on top over arugula with asparagus and a balsamic vinegar reduction sauce. It's sooooo yummy and we'll crack a bottle of wine too. Really easy to make. |
