With all that’s going on, I wouldn’t be out after dark these days 🙁 |

LOL, I really messed up early on. Docs say it likely an aerosolized virus so I even wear a mask & gloves to go onto porch to pick up whatever delivery was just made, just in case some droplets hang in still air! But I have been out to drop a package in the mail at the post office vestibule, the doctor, pharmacy & Dominos pizza (twice), bank drive-thru and to pump gas, always masked, gloved, change, wash up after home again, even shoes. Worst thing I did was end of first week of social distancing/quarantine, March 15th or so, maybe the week before, I was hurrying to close up my trash bag, heard the garbage truck coming down the ally & almost ran with my trash out across the backyard to hand it across the fence to the garbage man. He was masked and gloved but hardly sanitized but I wasn't! And we'd only been at each of our arms' lengths! Never even thought - just had to get that garbage out to him! What a silly chance I took back then. Came in, washed and washed, changed clothes, blew my nose, used saline spray several times in my nose, blew it again over & over, used Clear Eyes to lavage eyes and mouthwash rinses, even ran a wet paper towel over my hair and brushed, brushed, took extra Vit C(still do)! This was early on when they didn't know much about how it spread, etc., so short of a shower/shampoo, I did all I thought most would do after coming too close to another. Sat and waited to see if SX. came, thankfully, none did! :) |
Does anyone know someone that got the virus? |
Thank GOD everyone I know is good, I hope I still have the same good news when the 2nd wave hits us. Same question back to you. |
We’ve only had 23 cases here. 3 people died. I believe the three that died were living in an assisted living facility |
If there had to be deaths 3 isn't bad at all. My county alone had over 8500 deaths, but no one that I knew. This is by no means over, wear mask, keep your distance and stay home if you can. Last week on my local news they now say dogs and cats, especially cats, domestic and wild can catch this virus. They said if you have the virus do not keep your pets close to you. |
No one I know has even tested positive. Out of 30+ million people in our state, true, a state with lots of independent types who think they never have to follow the rules unless it suits them, few young adults ever wear masks, never quarantine it seems, we've had very small percentage of deaths, those 75% were 65-75 or older, I think, sadly too likely related to youths out and about, carrying it to the older folks they might be around. |

Of those people counted or not, one is a school policeman, one a college employee on Covid response team, and one attended a protest. The rest are either spouses or unknown how or why. Most had symptoms in March. |
Something I read the other day. On an average, a person infected gives the virus to someone else. We’re at phase 4 here. I’m one of the minority wearing a mask where I live.. Sad |

As far as the people I know, some were very sick, and some not so much and one person had no symptoms but had a positive test and was the spouse of someone that was very sick. All quarantined correctly and are now back normal. For us, I only see my neighbors and wear a mask to go to Kroger so hopefully we can avoid Covid. On a different note, my dogs are sure happy we stay home so much :) |
Except for when I usher at church, I’ve not been away from dexter at all. Yeah, he likes me being home |

On a different note, our church has not even begun to open yet. |
I go on Saturday night and that varies from 20 to 40 people. Around a hundred for the Sunday service. They had split that into two services |

For us, I think they are planning a few outside services in July and August starting off with limits of 50 for each service. Nothing inside yet. |
I believe it’s 50 at a service. |

My bad I remembered after I posted it. Is the governor doing a good job there? |

He’s trying to do the right thing. Way too many people are still not wearing masks |

Who would have thought trying to live safe would get political |
And, there were over 60,000 new cases Tuesday |
I live in Florida, and my husband and I are seniors with asthma and breathing problems. We have not been out in months, except for essentials, and we are in an explosion of new cases everyday. I live close to Disney, and they are supposed to open this coming weekend. Jim and I are fearing that we may not be able to resume any normalcy until the holidays at this rate...if then. As far as knowing someone who had the virus, I have had many both in my extended family in upstate NY, and friends throughout NY/PA. Luckily the family members were in their thirties and forties, and although they were VERY sick, they have all recovered. Most of the family members were healthcare workers and/or first responders. My daughter-in-law is the lead administrator in a Hudson Valley nursing home, and her facility was hard hit early on. They had both residents and staff come down with covid, and were unable to get face masks and other PPE. My daughter-in-law has not tested positive, despite the fact that she shared comfort with several of her residents while they were waiting to be transported to the local hospital; but she has been profoundly affected by seeing the suffering residents and their families who were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones. She is still so stressed by being responsible for the safety of everyone, but her facility has been covid-free for nearly a month. I am so proud of her! |
Sounds like an Angel to me |
