| Donna, I love all of the woodwork in your home and your tree topper decor. Cindy, love all of the lights in your kitchen and the snowman tree and just the fact that you started decorating before me! Are you and your husband known as Mr and Mrs Christmas? | Yes, thank you, that's my ceiling, we love it too! There is also one like that in our master bedroom. The domes make the room feel so much more spacious. Home sweet home! All of you have beautiful homes from what we can see in the pictures. What a blessing! You ladies are very talented! Last edited by softlyspeaks; 10-27-2015 at 05:27 AM. |

| Donna, the dome is brick from clay common in our area. It is a style particular to where I live. How about I finish decorating for this Christmas and post a picture pano of our great room. With home interior decorators on the forum, maybe I could get some more help with ideas for this room |

| sorry for the fb link but it takes me to much time to resize all the photos, the pics are public so if you have a FB account you should be able to see them. Most of what I will do this year will be similar to the photos with the tree topper and the shorter tree. My big tree is really to wide and short for my present room, I used to drag it into the basement with the lights on it and cover it with a tarp, but we started construction down there so I took it all apart. I have not felt like putting it back together, plus I really need a taller slimmer tree, but now we might move in a year or two so I don't want to get a new tree and then not have high ceilings, LOL it's such a dilemma.......... https://www.facebook.com/donna.w.bla...=3&pnref=story

| I couldn't stand it and wanted something fun to do today. We don't celebrate Halloween. My favorite Christmas tunes are playing, my son took the tree down and is setting it up. May the Christmas decorating begin! Tomorrow we have a family Christmas shopping day since our 6 year old has no school. All of us in one car, both our married sons and their pregnant wives! Ho Ho HO!!!! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Just fyi gals...I was in Target yesterday and HOLY ALL do they ever have the cutest/coolest Xmas ornaments this year - wow! They have all sorts of styles too: glam, glittery, hip, rustic, kitschy, traditional, sparkly....so much to choose from! Oh, and the coolest faux fur tree skirts and stockings...I'm dying for the tree skirt!

| Product review Okay so I get a phone call this week from a friend/customer of mine that was pure giddy and all over herself telling me to come to her house to see what she bought. She tells me she has bought a laser and I just had to see it. I have ordered lasers before and used them in the backyard for a customer and was thinking that whatever she has bought at Home Depot was not going to even compare... I was WRONG!! I get to her house and I honestly couldn't believe the power of the "Star Shower" lasers! Her home glittered and glowed! When I casted them in the trees it was beautiful! For $39.99 you get a huge bang for your buck! I am assuming this will hold up well outside, that part I don't know, but for $40 bucks it's a deal, I cannot even come close to that price buying lasers wholesale! Thought I would share what I seen with Star Shower, it's rare I would give a review with any type of Christmas lights, but this really impressed me, especially lighting the trees!!

"Bliss Lights" which are quite pricey! I believe they come in red or green, or the red/green combo. They look really cool.

| Yep your right, they are very similar to Bliss. I love what they do in trees, it glistens and not overpowering. I was pleasantly surprised, lasers can get pricey fast, this is a heck of a deal IF they will hold up outside.
