| Ha ha ha, I totally thought of that I got a pedicure once for my birthday and that was fun. I think I might like to get my nails done.

One time was at a fancy salon the other was at a cheap place. I'd rather spend the $15 on a few bottles of nice nail polish. Quote:
Yes thinner is very different than remover, remover will break the polish down and ruin it. Sally's has a big bottle of thinner for about $5. | ||

| Well the other nail decals finally came and i have learned a few things first thing is that the original nail decals are actually stickers, the ones that came today are decals that you soak in water and that can slide around. Both have great pictures- I wish the colorful resting long haired yorkie was larger in size but not wider in width. But the black shadow themed stickers are much thicker and don't blend into the nail as well as the thinner decals do. They also stick instantly and I really like how I can adjust these other ones with tweezers (great tip, thank you) until they are in the best location. They are much easier to work with. I also learned that white nail polish totally sucks and I went with my lightly sparkly pale pink polish and am much happier with that. Overall, todays attempt turned out way better! And even though the shipper seriously took almost a month to get the decals here I wasn't really stressin my nail decals so it isn't a super big deal. I will post a couple of pics to update. (Disclaimer: yes, I know in not a hand model- I work at a job loading hay and fifty pound bags of feed all day, have five kids, do dishes and have been running a small farm for the lAst six years, the following hands are working woman hands ) the decals and stickers are both applied in these pics

| My photos are kinda blurry too, turns out it is hard to take pics of your own hands and in bad lighting, lol. Anywho, it was fun and I am happy that I am getting better at it.

| Wow, I'm impressed you have long nails with all that heavy lifting that you do. I think they look good. I haven't bought any yet. . . . Sort of got put on the back burner.

| Lol, thank you! They break unevenly often because of the different jobs that I do but I have been trying to take better care of them lately. What has surely also helped is that we have spent at least the last year transitioning out of farm focuses. We still have a pony and a turkey (but only til thanksgiving) but that is it and it is really a good thing! Between my health problems and some increases in my children's needs as they grow, what was once the best thing I could think of to do for them (growing milk and meat, vegetables and eggs) became a distraction from the different needs they have now with school, speech and occupational therapy etc. so slowly but surely we have phased these things out (lovely and important as they are in their own right) and honestly, my health has greatly improved and consequently my nails and skin too it is a great pleasure to paint them pink and try to do silly yorkie decals on a warm night inside with Lilah curled up on my lap. Of course ponies still require some hay hauling muck treading fence work in the rain- but nothing like we used to do! Whew!
