| Oh, Judy, how exciting for your vet tech! To get to show at Westminster! Does anyone know what was wrong with the poor little Lundehund last night? Poor dog just looked wrong - not as much crazy frightened and shaking as just sort of spastic and weird, as if it had no idea what was going on! That's how Tibbe acted the day I brought him home for the first time and set him on the grass in the backyard after living his first 9 mos. of life in a cage - he was totally weirded out by everything, kind of crept awkwardly around, head low, not knowing what to expect but wanting to investigate. But you would expect a show dog at Westminster to show better unless it was sick or hurt. Loved the exotic and fabulous Shih Tzu, fell in total love with Flame the black, classy, Standard Poodle, and oh, that little Billy, the Yorkie, was so adorable. Did you see him as the toys were entering into the arena during the close-up shots as they entered? He was looking right into the camera until his handler kind of jerked him forward? He stole my heart - such a face! And finally, a Yorkie placed in Group finals.

| And how about those classic doggie Subaru commercials - LOVE the one with them all barking at the mail truck but still love the Lab growling at hubby Golden for drooling over the Standard Poodle!!! Oh, and the Buick commercial last night where the little ?Biewer? was is called the Bulldog a "Mailman"!!!! Just about fell over laughing out loud!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | OMG OMG The Beagle wins Best in Show - Canadian Dog handled by Will Alexander a Canadian. Miss P wins it. I tell you rarely have I seen a line up of 7 dogs that deserved equally in my mind a BIS. I had thought maybe maybe if push came to shove, I would look at the Poodle and the Portugese Water Dog. I loved what the judge had to say - well thought out, and I clapped. Loved the show - loved the judging and loved all the winners: bravo:

| What a wonderful Westminster event we had this year!!! I enjoyed it more this year than any before, I think! I am thrilled thyat the Beagle won! My brother has a deep seated adoration for Beagles and he also was thrilled! I was so happy for my friend, Gerry....she also showed tonight....I had gotten up to put my puppies to bed, and I heard them call out her name....I dont know what she was showing....I will go back and try to pull up the classes tonight to see what she was showing....I know she didnt get pulled out to the final lineup....but I am so proud of her! I think I am going to go see if I can do that now! |

I wish I was there to see Katie earn her championship. I have photos of her, though. All I really wanted was a healthy dog with a good temperament who looked like what I envision Yorkies should look like. I didn't care about her championship, but I know that experience she had as a puppy helped to shape her into who she is today. Katie is such a happy, confident, loving little girl, and I know the time her breeder spent with her and the love she showered on her all are the reasons why she is so confident and happy. She is also so impeccably trained, yet she still has that perfect Yorkie personality. Part of me feels cheated because I missed three years of Katie's life, but I know she was dearly loved and in the best of hands. I'm so grateful for Ilona who entrusted her little girl with me, for Gail for finding her and recommending me to Ilona, for JacquelineBabco who conspired with Gail to convince me that John and I could give Katie a happy life. Lastly, I thank Marion Babcock, Jackie's mom, who graciously understood when Jackie made the long trip to the Canadian border to meet Ilona and Katie, and the next day took the long ride to bring Katie to us on Mother's Day. Marion was such a special lady, one I grew to love and am so grateful she touched my life. All of these dear friends have changed our lives, not only because of their beautiful gifts of their friendship, but for believing in me and for bringing Katie into the lives of a very lonely couple with broken hearts.

| Did anyone see Peter Green showing one in the Terrier group (I think) I should have written some of this down. Such fun to see some of the old time handlers that are still going strong. Luke too.

| Miss P sure has a wonderful head. I was positive Matisse would win - he's so perfect and won everything just about - though I was pulling for Flame. Still, Peyton was a great winner. Another Beagle win will perk up public interest in Westminster.
